Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet printing apparatus which can realize both a high speed printing and a high quality printing without color deviations when each of the print areas is printed in a plurality of scans by a plurality of print heads ejecting different kinds of ink. For this purse, this invention has a controller (100) for controlling for each print head (1) independently widths and positions of active nozzle groups in the print heads (1), the active nozzle groups representing those of the plurality of nozzles in the print heads (1) which are used for printing, wherein the controller (100) controls the widths and positions of the active nozzle groups according to a set printing condition.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording apparatus including a recording head for performing print recording by ejecting ink from an ejection orifice by thermal energy; temperature sensors provided in the recording head; a temperature calculation means for calculating a temperature change of the recording head in a unit time as a discrete value on the basis of the supply of energy input to the recording head, and for calculating the temperature change of the recording head by accumulating the discrete value in the unit time; a temperature presuming means for presuming a head temperature by both a calculated value of the temperature change and an adopted base value of the head temperature; a detection means for detecting a difference between the head presumed temperature and a detected temperature sensed by the temperature sensors; an update means for updating the adopted base value of the head temperature by the difference; and a control means for controlling ejection of the ink to be stabilized in accordance with the head presumed temperature.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording apparatus includes a recording head for ejecting an ink from an ejection unit to cause a change in temperature in a recording period, a temperature keeping unit for maintaining a temperature of the recording head at a predetermined keeping temperature higher than an upper limit of a surrounding temperature range in which recording is possible, a temperature prediction unit for predicting an ink temperature in the ejection unit in the recording period prior to recording, and an ejection stabilization unit for stabilizing ink ejection from the ejection unit according to the ink temperature in the ejection unit predicted by the temperature prediction unit.
Abstract:
A plurality of recording heads for ejecting inks of different colors are reciprocally moved relative to a recording medium, and printing operations are performed by executing main scans in forward and backward scans of the recording heads. In this case, an area printable in a single main scan is recorded by performing a plurality of main scans using a plurality of thinning patterns in which an m x n pixel group is defined as a unit pixel group, and the pixel groups are arranged at non-neighboring positions, and which have a complementary arrangement relationship therebetween. A high-quality color image free from time difference nonuniformity, and density nonuniformity caused by, e.g., variations of recording elements is obtained at high speed.
Abstract:
An ink jet printing method for performing printing onto a printing medium (106) with the use of both of a colored ink ejected from an ink jet head (702) and a printing property improving liquid to be applied to the printing medium (106) for improving a printing property for an ink jet printing apparatus, having the steps of: at least one time or more printing a first colored ink on the printing medium (106), at least one time or more applying the printing property improving liquid onto a region printed with the colored ink, and at least one time or more printing a second colored ink on a region where the printing property improving liquid is applied.
