Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a stress applied to an orifice plate to prevent deformation or cracks from occurring by bonding a sheet member to any one of three edge areas of the orifice plate member. CONSTITUTION:A bonded body of a heater board 1 with a top plate 4 is supported by a metallic substrate 3 as well as supported by a case of an ink supply member 6 for supplying an ink to an ink path 7. A front surface seal plate 10, which is bonded to the substrate 3 and the case of the ink supply member 6 so as to buffer a step part formed between the bonded body and the case of the ink supply member or between the substrate 3 and an orifice plate 4a, is mounted so as to press a part of the periphery of the orifice plate 4a. The front surface seal plate 10 is provided with an opening. The opening is shaped so that the front seal plate 10 can press a bonding part of the orifice plate 4a with the heater board 1 and a part of the side face of the orifice plate 4a on the side of the bonding part thereof with the heater board 1 but has no possibility of pressing the other part.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain function of amounting box and protecting function of a content by providing a wall maintained in noncontact with an ink jet cartridge and a recess for supporting the cartridge in a vessel body and a member for covering a discharge port. CONSTITUTION:A packaging vessel is composed of a vessel body 1 and a platelike member (bottom plate) 3 integrated therewith. The both 1 has a wall (c) maintained in noncontact with an ink jet recording head (content) 2, a recess for supporting the content 2 protruding toward the interior (content containing region (d)) from the wall (c) and fixing its position, and a flange (b) to be integrated with the plate 3. A discharge port 10 of the cartridge 2 is maintained in noncontacting state with the wall in the containing space. When the corner having the discharge port, out of the four corners of the space, is increased the discharge port is desirably protected.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease generation of a contour effect by butting blocks from which high saturation magnetic flux density films are partly removed against each other via a magnetic gap in such a manner that at least part of the high saturation magnetic flux density films face each other and joining the blocks by a 2nd nonmagnetic material having the m.p. lower than the m.p. of a 1st nonmagnetic material. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 2 parallel with each other are formed at a prescribed pitch on one end face of the block 1 consisting of a high magnetic permeability material and the 1st nonmagnetic material 3 is packed into the grooves 2. The end face is then ground until the high magnetic permeability material is exposed and thereafter, the high saturation magnetic flux density film 4 is deposited thereon. The blocks from which the high saturation magnetic flux density films 4 are partly removed are butted against each other via the magnetic gap (g) in such a manner that at least part of the films 4 face each other. These blocks are then joined by the 2nd nonmagnetic material 5 having the m.p. lower than the m.p. of the 1st nonmagnetic material 3. The production without exposing the blocks to a high temp. after the formation of the films 4 is thereby executed and the inter-diffusion in the boundary part between the high magnetic permeability material and the high saturation magnetic flux density material is suppressed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of electromagnetic conversion characteristic and to extend the track width by coupling a magnetic body to a block, where a high saturation magnetic flux density film is stuck to a part of the slope of a first groove, with a magnetic gap material between them to form a core block. CONSTITUTION:A first groove 12 having a slope S2 is formed on the end face of a high permeability magnetic material block 1, and a second groove 4 deeper than the first groove 12 is formed in the position connected to the first groove 12 in parallel with this groove 12, and a high saturation magnetic flux density film 2 is stuck to a part of the slope S2 of the first groove 12. Magnetic bodies 1 and 1 are coupled to the block, to which the high saturation magnetic flux density film 2 is stuck, with a magnetic gap material 3 between them, and this core block is cut in the direction perpendicular to the first groove 12. Thus, a magnetic head is inexpensively obtained which has not a bad influence upon the electromagnetic conversion characteristic by the contour effect and facilitates extension of the track width.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of contour effect without thickening a film thickness even when a track width is enlarged by extending a high saturation magnetic flux density film along the border of the one of a pair of non- magnetic parts contacting to the both edges of a magnetic gap member in a medium sliding surface and a high permeability member. CONSTITUTION:Near a gap part 3, in a magnetic head constituted by confronting core halves, magnetism alloy films 2 and 2' form border lines L1 and L3 parallel with the gap 3 between ferrites 1 and 1' on a medium sliding surface S2 and extend border surfaces S3 and S3' along the interval of the ferrites 1 and 1' in channels 5 and 5' to determine a track width. Since the border surface S1 of the magnetic alloy film 2 and the ferrite 1 in a winding window 4 crosses with the sliding surface S2 as a plane non-parallel with the forming surface of the gap 3 and forms a straight line L1, the generation of the contour effect can be relieved. Thus, a cost-down can be obtained and the track width can be arbitrarily set.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic and to reduce the cost by forming the film thickness of the magnetic film so that the film thickness of the magnetic thin film varies in response to the depth with the range of the depth of the operating gap in core halves formed by coating an alloy magnetic film onto a high permeability material. CONSTITUTION:The relation of T=Wcostheta+Dsintheta exists where T is the thickness of an alloy magnetic film 2 coated on a slope S1 of a winding slot in the high permeability core halves 1, theta is an angle between the film 2 and a gap face 3, D is a gap in case of a slide face SIGMA1 passing just through point P, and W is a width on the face SIGMA1 of the film 2. In forming the heads in such a way that the boundary face between the core 1 and the film 2 has a prescribed slope to the gap face 3 and the film thickness T is varied in response to the gap depth D at a prescribed rate continuously, the contour effect is suppressed. Thus, the characteristic is improved and the cost is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a stable magnetic characteristic to a change with the passage of time and a processing error and to have a core structure with a good yield by making the surface opposite to the insulating film of a block nonparallel to the insulating film and extending a first magnetic film to both sides of the block along the border with a pair of nonmagnetic material parts and the block. CONSTITUTION:The head has an alloy magnetic material film 2 as the first magnetic film having a high saturated magnetic flux density such as 'Permalloy(R)', 'Sendust(R)' and 'Amorphous(R)' film-formed, for example, by a physical vapor deposition such as a sputtering on a high magnetic permeability material block 1 and a high magnetic permeability material 1 such as a single crystal ferrite. The border of a magnetic metallic film 2 and the high magnetic permeability material block 1 is nonparallel to a gap 7, a gal length, consequently, a core tip part border line to regulate a track width is approximately parallel and the magnetic metallic film is extended at both sides of the block 1 along the border of the block 1 and a glass 6. Therefore, a core structure with a good yield at the time of manufacturing is held.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a core structure with a good yield and a good magnetic characteristic by making the surface opposite to the insulating film of a block parallel to the insulating film and extending a first magnetic film at both sides of the block along the border of a pair of nonmagnetic material parts and the block. CONSTITUTION:An alloy magnetic material 2 is held on a high magnetic permeability material block 1 and a high magnetic permeability material 1 such as a single crystal ferrite as the first magnetic film having a high saturated magnetic flux density such as, for example, 'Perm alloy(R)', 'Sendust(R)' and 'Amorphous(R)' film-formed by the physical vapor deposition such as sputtering. On the other hand, for a protecting plate, a sliding surface side comes to be a nonmagnetic material and consequently, the clearance at the section of a second magnetic pole 7 or an adhesives layer does not come to be a dummy gap. An uppermost point P1 of a nonmagnetic material 10 or 12 at the side facing the gap of the protecting plate is located at the height of the same extent as an upper edge point P3 of a groove wall surface 31 for a winding window or a little under it, and it is preferable from the view point of characteristic that the point is near the sliding surface as much as possible. For this, the more a high magnetic permeability material 11 of the protecting plate is close to the sliding surface, the smaller the magnetic resistance of a magnetic circuit comes to be.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic characteristic stable against change in the lapse of time and improve the yield and the magnetic characteristic by not forming a first magnetic film in a groove for winding and forming the first magnetic film on a medium slide face into the same shape independently of the change of the slide face. CONSTITUTION:The element function of magnetic pole-gap-magnetic pole as the fundamental structure of a head is satisfied with a high saturation magnetic flux density material 2 as the first magnetic pole, a gap material 6, and a high saturation magnetic flux density material 7 as the second magnetic pole which are successively formed on a high permeability material substrate 1. The boundary between the high permeability material substrate 1 and the high saturation magnetic flux density material 2 on the head slide face is parallel with the gap 6 to suppress the occurrence of contour effects to such degree that it does not matter. The slide face side of a protective plate consists of a nonmagnetic material 10, and consequently, a space or an adhesive layer between this material and the second magnetic pole 7 does not become a false gap. The lowest point P1 of the nonmagnetic material 10 or 12 on the gap side of the protective plate is placed at a height equal to or slightly lower than an upper end point P3 of a wall face 31 of the groove for winding window.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a false gap function and to secure the satisfactory electromagnetic characteristics, by burying a nonmagnetic material on a medium rubbing surface at an approximately entire outer edge of a magnetic material near a gap. CONSTITUTION:Both core halves 6 and 6' are joined together by means of the glass 58, 59 and 57 of low menting points serving as the nonmagnetic adhesive material a filled into a part of a winding groove 53 and an adhering groove 53' and the whole of a groove 56. While the glass 57 of a low melting point is filled into both grooves 56 and 56' adjacent to both sides along the track width direction against the metallic magnetic films 55 and 55' holding a magnetic gap 61 on a magnetic tape rubbing surface of a magnetic recording medium on the upper surface side shown in the diagram. At the same time, the nonmagnetic glass 52 of a high melting point is filled into the grooves 51 and 51. In such a way, both glass 57 and 52 are buried on the magnetic tape rubbing surface with adjacency to the entire outer edges of both films 55 and 55'.
