Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a long vegetable sorting device equipped with an interval increasing means which increases the interval to the one suited to the recognition of the shapes of long vegetables fed at close intervals in proper and positively functioning conditions for the review of construction from the stage of design. CONSTITUTION: This sorting device is provided with a receiving part which transfers cucumber onto a conveyer, a shape recognizing part which recognizes the shape of the cucumber on the conveyer with a CCD camera, a sorting part, and an interval increasing means which increases an interval between adjacent vegetables to a wide one suitable for recognizing operation at the shape recognizing part. The interval increasing means is provided with a plurality of bars 9 mounted on a chain which runs in an elliptic form to receive the cucumbers at the straight track part of the chain 8 and increase an interval between the bars 9, 9 at a circular track part, and is disposed so that the cucumbers may be dropped and fed onto the conveyer. At the final end of the straight track part of the chain 8, there is also provided an aligning device G which is constituted of a chain 58 provided with a rubber raking claws 55 traveling along the longitudinal direction of the bar 9 to bring the rubber raking claw 55 into contact with the cucumber on the bar 9 and correct its aslant position to a position which meets the bar 9.

CONSTITUTION:This supply structure of a long-shaped vegetable selector consists of a suction pad 10, a suction pump 13, a vertical movement mechanism 12A which lifts the suction pad 10 up and down, and a transport movement mechanism 12B which shuttles the suction pad 10 back and forth between a storage part 1 and the start end of a transport conveyor B. In addition, the vertical movement mechanism 12A is interlocked to the suction pump 13 and the transport movement mechanism 12B so that a single feed process consisting of each action such as the decent action of the vertical movement mechanism 12A, the suction action of the suction pump 13, the ascent action of the vertical movement mechanism 12A, the forward path shift action of the transport movement mechanism 12, the return action of the suction pump 13 and the backward path shift action of the transport movement mechanism 12B, sequentially in that order, is performed automatically in a control device. Further, the long- shaped vegetable is selected and sorted out by a selection means D.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To securely hold a packing sheet even at the part where no support exists and cut the sheet without breaking it, by erecting a pair of elastic members respectively under the first and second setting members, between the first and second supports for the packing sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a drawing mechanism 16 moves to a packing sheet 1 side and reaches the holding position, a holding arm 19 advances in the first receiver 10a and the second receiver 10b respectively to hold the end 1b of the packing sheet 1. The drawing mechanism 16 moves to a drawing position to pull out the packing sheet 1 on the packing base 2 and then first and second setting members 15, 43 and a cutter 12 are lowered respectively to cut the packing sheet 1. In this time, a pair of elastic members 45, 46 are elastically erected respectively. And hence, the packing sheet 1 is partly supported by the first and second setting members 15, 43 and the first and second receivers 10a, 10b and the rest of the packing sheet is supported by the first and second setting members 15, 43 and the elastic members 45, 46.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a cutter from being in contact with a pull-out mechanism due to a cutting operation and damaged by constituting a packing apparatus so than the cutter may not cut even if a manually operating jig for manual cutting is operated when the pull-out mechanism is left at a holding position. CONSTITUTION:A light sensor 26 is provided on a frame 25 fixed to a packing table 2, wherein when a pull-out mechanism 16 moves toward a holding position through below a cutter 12 at a distant position and reaches the holding position, it is detected by a potentiometer and stops at the holding position. An end 1b of a wrapping sheer 1 enters between each operation arm 19 of the pull-out mechanism 16 and a top plate 20 and is interposed so that the wrapping sheet 1 is pulled out onto the packing table 2. When a mark of the wrapping sheet 1 is detected by the light sensor 26, an operation arm 33 is raised after the pull-out mechanism 16 stops and the cutter 12 at a distant position and a support frame having a pressing member 15 lower to a cutting position, so as to cut the wrapping sheet 1 into a predetermined length.

A gathering member 11 surrounds the object A at this position to gather the sheet 1, and further compressed air is removed so that an air cylinder contracts to hold an upper part of the wrapping sheet 1 to fully wrap the object. After an excess of the upper part is cut by a disk cutter, an adhesive tape 4 is pressed so that the tape 4 is securely sealed on the wrapping sheet 1. Then holding arms 18 open right and left, the compressed air is removed and the support table 3 is pushed down sideways while being lowered, so that a support frame is returned to an original retreat position and the object A is discharged.

In such a process, when a pause switch is depressed, the packaging device stops under a condition at that time, and as long as a re-starting operation is done, the stopped condition is maintained. When a worker performs a re-starting operation, a supporting frame consisting of the supporting base 3, a pair of pinching members 14 and holding members, etc., starts re-operation from the stopped condition. The adjustment of respective parts of the device or the sheet can be done, and an object to be packaged which is located in the device at the time of pause is not wasted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the waste of packaging by a method wherein a control device to return a sealing mechanism to the standby position even when the sealing mechanism is not located at the standby position, when a re-inputting operation is done after turning off the power source switch of a packaging device being equipped with an open hole in which an object to be packaged is dropped together with a packaging sheet. If the power source switch is turned off during an operation, and a re- starting operation is done, a pause switch lights up, and it is detected whether a supporting frame consisting of the supporting base 3, a pair of pinching members 14 and holding members, etc., has returned to the original positions or not. Even one of these has not returned to the original ascending position, open position and retracting position, an operation to return everything to the initial condition is automatically performed.

CONSTITUTION:Under a normal condition, a detecting light which is cast from a light emitting device 21 passes through a transparent adhesive tape 4 between a supporting part 6 and holding part 37, and is received by a light repector 22, and it is judges that the tape 4 has not been consumed to the end. When the tape 4 has been consumed to the end, and a leader tape is pulled out from the roll, the detecting light is shielded or diffused by the leader tape, and is not received by the receptor, and the consumption to the end is judged. Since the adhesive tape 4 could be waved between the supporting part 6 and holding part 37, the detection of the consumption of the tape 4 is not performed until a cutter 35a cuts the tape 4, and a set period of time passes.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an end of a rolled part of a wrapping sheet from rolling up and permit it to be held by providing a float preventing member for suppressing roll-up of the end of a rolled part cut by a cutter of a wrapping apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A pair of cylindrical support rollers 5 are rotatably supported on a lateral side of a wrapping table 2, while a transparent wrapping sheet 1 is rolled in a roll and mounted on the support roller 5. A guide plate 37 is provided between a cutter 12 and the support roller 5, wherein an end 1b of the wrapping sheet 1 on the side of the support roller 5 is mounted on an upper face of the support roller 5 with plate springs fixed to both ends of the guide plate 37 extended toward the support roller 5, so that the pair of plate springs slightly regulate the rotation of the support roller 5. When cutting of the wrapping sheet 1 is completed, the cutter 12 retreats upward and an end of the wrapping sheet 1 is pressed by a float preventing member 41, thereby allowing the end 1b to be held without trouble.
