    Abstract: PURPOSE: To lower driving voltage, improve reliability of discharge between electrodes and reduce cost by using PLZT sintered body having memorability at normal temperature and has no memorability at raised temperature for a shutter.
    CONSTITUTION: A PLZT sintered body 3 having composition that has memorability at normal temperature is utilized as it changes to a secondary effect material at a temperature higher than critical temperature at which it exhibits memorability and displays function of an electrooptical shutter, and electrooptical constant R shows a large value near this temperature. The shutter 3 made of PLZT sintered body is placed between polarizing plates 1, 2 in which direction of electric field vector of linearly polarized light makes right angle. When the direction of electric field, i.e. the direction of optic axis, of this sintered body 3 is made 45° to the polarizing plates 1, 2, light is passed by rotation of light electric field vector when the shutter 3 is driven by voltage. Accordingly, above- mentioned PLZT sintered body is used for this shutter 3 to give function of a shutter by temperature control.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reproduce color picture with high resolution, by using one black- and-white cathode-ray tube and reproducing red, blue and green pictures with prescribed period sequentially. CONSTITUTION:In applying primary color signals, red, blue and green ER, EB and EG to a black-and-white cathode-ray tube 1, the image light from the picture obtained on a fluorescent screen 1a is applied to an electronic chroma filter 3 via a lens 2, the red, blue and green lights are selectively brought in and finally, the red, blue and green light lR, lB and lG out of image light are applied to a screen 4. Red, blue and green images SR, SB and SG magnified with the lens 2 are formed on the screen 4. Since the primary color signals ER, EB and EG are switchingly applied to the cathode-ray tube 1 at each horizontal period, then the pictures SR, SB and SG are formed on the screen 4 at one horizontal period and the observer 5 can watch the magnified color picture SC on the screen 4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To observe the black-and-white picture with saved power consumption, by moving a color filter and an electronic shutter to a position not interrupting the image light from a picture obtained on a fluorescent screen of a black-and- white CRT and turning off relating power supplies. CONSTITUTION:A black-and-white CRT1 to which red, green and blue color primaries signals ER, EG and EB are sequentially applied at each prescribed period through switching, a lens 2 to magnify a picture obtained on a fluorescent screen 1a on the CRT1, a color filter 4 arranged near a peeping hole 3 and having red, green and blue color primaries filters FR, FG and FB, and an electronic shutter 5 corresponding to the filter 4, are provided and a color picture SC is viewed at a prescribed position. The front 17a of an external case 17 arranged with the lens 2, the filter 4 and the shutter 5 can be moved toward the arrow by taking a hinge 160 as a center, and the observer 6 can view the fluorescent screen 1a directly. Further, the operation of a connection switch 14 and a color killer circuit 19 can be controlled with a changeover switch 18 at the same time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture having good resolution, by providing a tri- color filter and an electronic shutter in front of a black-and-white cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:On a fluorescent surface 1a of a black-and-white cathode-ray tube 1, one scanning line is drawn by a red component in a color television picture signal. At the same time, when voltage is applied to a red color electrode group among 3 electrode goups of a PLZT element 11, the polarizing surface is rotated as to only its part. As a result, by polarizing plates 10a, 10b, as for only its part, light of the cathode-ray tube passes through the red part of a filter 4, and as for other part, it does not pass through. In the same way, when scanning and driving of the electrode group are executed synchronously to blue and green colors, too, an observer 6 is able to see a color picture through a window 3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reproduce an information signal by transferring the information signal on a magnetic tape to a vertical easy magnetizing film with a soft magnetic film surface and by detecting the reflected light from a flying spot tube from the film surface. CONSTITUTION:While magnetic tape 1 is run at a prescribed speed, pulse counter 22 is placed in a stop state and an electron beam from flying spot tube 10 is permitted to scan vertically a vertical easy magnetizing film with a soft magnetic film surface. Its reflected light is supplied to photoelectron multiplier tube 13 by way of beam split 5, condenser lens 12 and analyzer 7. This multiplied signal is supplied to copying device 15 via preamplifying circuit 14 and a video signal appearing at the output side of this device 15 is supplied to a television receiver via video output circuit 16 to obtain a video reproduced picture. Then, signals of both system appear at horizontal synchronizing signal output terminal 20H and vertical synchronizing signal output terminal 20V of clock signal and synchronizing signal generating circuit 20.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To erase the maze magnetic domain and then to improve the S/N by supplying the DC bias magnetic field vertically onto the surface of the soft magnetic film vertical easy magnetization film using the photomagnetic effect. CONSTITUTION:Helmholtz coil 10 is installed at the outer circumference of soft magnetic film vertical easy magnetization film device 2 which touches magnetic tape 1 running in the direction of the arrow mark, and the DC bias magnetic field is supplied vertically onto the surface of the magnetized film of device 2. Under these conditions, the beams sent from light source generator 3 are condensed on the magnetized film of divice 2 through polarizer 4, beam splitter 5 and object lens 6 each and then reflected by the reflector film to be supplied to light detector 7 via lens 6 and splitter 5. During this, the beam receives the right or left Faraday optical rotation according to the magnetizing direction of the domain of the magnetized film. As a result, the optical modulation signal received the width modulation according to the domain width is supplied to photoelectric converter 8, and the electric signal obtained at output terminal 9 of element 8 is regenerated through the FM regenerator.
