Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the transmission frequency of printing information relatively by increasing the speed of the transmission of the printing information. SOLUTION: Command information of, for example, 8 bits from a main body 101 of a host computer 100 is supplied directly to an interface circuit 102. Printing information of, for example, 4 bits is supplied to a data synthesizing circuit 103. In the synthesizing circuit 103, for example, data of two pixels of the printing information of 4 bits are made 4 bits at the LSB side and 4 bits at the MSB side of 8 bits, respectively so as to synthesize printing information of 8 bits. The synthesized printing information of 8 bits is fed to the interface circuit 102. A control signal is further fed to the interface circuit 102 from the main body 101 so that command information and printing information optionally selected are transmitted.

SOLUTION: The periods that the potential changes of the rises and falls of the drive signals of the quantitative side and discharge side of groups A and B are made so as not to be coincide with one another. Since the fall of the drive signal of the quantitative side is changed according to print information, the timings of the respective signals are decided so that the falls do not coincide with the rises of the drive signals of the discharge side of the other group. Further, to this end, the timings of the D-A conversion trigger signal and discharge timing signal, for example, output from a timing controller are controlled. For example, as shown, these signals are formed at the timing sequentially shifted at the respective groups.

Concretely, the pressure transmission chamber 5 is formed from one flat surface and the curved surface formed by the rotation around the center axis of the flat surface and has a right-angled shape in a side view and a semicircular shape in a front view.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the unnecessary mixing of ink and a transparent solvent, thereby obtain stable printing characteristic, by providing, at a mixing part of the two kinds of liquid, a sealing substance introducing means for introducing a sealing substance for separating the liquids. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric vibrator 5 is shifted thereby to shift a vibrating plate 4. As a result, a transparent solvent 3 in a liquid chamber 1 is pressured, whereby a sealing substance 11 in a mixing part 6 is discharged outside via a nozzle 7. Then, an ink quantifying part 10 is controlled to supply an ink 8 into the mixing part 6 through an ink exit 9a, so that a desired density of ink is obtained. A halftone liquid having the density modulated as above is thus prepared. A predetermined voltage is impressed between electrodes 5a of the piezoelectric vibrator 5 to shift the vibrator 5 thereby to add pressure to the transparent solvent 3 in the liquid chamber 1. The halftone liquid formed in the mixing part 6 is discharged because of the above pressure via the nozzle 7 and adhered onto a printing paper. Accordingly, it becomes possible to form dots having the modulated density onto the printing paper.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attempt cost decrease by eliminating necessity for raising strength of a protection membrane through providing a heat generating body arranged on a substrate, a liquid room formed on the heat generating body and supplying ink from an outside and a nozzle which is in communication with the liquid room and has an opening opened outwards. CONSTITUTION:There is arranged a circular heater 3 through an insulated membrane 2 on a substrate 1, the center of the heater 3 is made to coincide with that of a nozzle 13, and an ink supplying hole 61 penetrating the substrate 1 from the center portion of the heater 3 is caused to be in communication with an ink supplying room 63 formed in a supporting plate 62 supporting the substrate 1. Besides, upper faces of electrodes 4, 5 and an inner surface of the ink supplying hole 61 are covered by a protection membrane 6. An applied voltage of the heater 3 disappears, and when a foam shrinks, an impulse force is generated by a division breakage of the foam, but at the center portion of the heater 3, no heat is generated, and besides, because of a cooling effect by ink 11 existing in the ink supplying hole 61, the impulse caused by the breakage of the foam does not gather to the center portion of the heater 3 and is dispersed on the surface of the heater 3. Accordingly, damage occurrence caused by a cavitation of the heater 3 can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify a structure of an ink jet head, multiply the heads, and gather multi-heads by forming an electrostrictive vibrator of ink jet heads into a comb-like shape and arranging the toothed part in an ink chamber so as to be integrated. CONSTITUTION:Each toothed part 2a of a comb-like electrostrictive vibrator 2 of ink jet heads 1 is arranged in a position just under an orifice 5d and a partition wall 5a of an outer frame 5 and the oscillator 2 are fixed by adhesion or compression bonding so as to be integrated. After ink is extruded, ink grains 10 left outside the orifice 5d are extruded in an ejected state and continue flying, for example, in the direction of a recording paper. In an ink chamber 5b, the ink reduces by a volume of the ejected ink grains 10, so that an ink quantity equivalent to the reduced quantity is replenished from an ink supply passage 5e and a state of the ink chamber 5b filled with the ink is restored. Such an operation is repeated in the individual ink chamber 5b of the multiplied head 1, so that desired ink grains 10 can be ejected selectively and continuously.
