    Abstract: PURPOSE:To set a faster communication speed and to speed up the response of the device by setting a communication speed with the device in correspondence to the communication mode of the device retrieved by a retrieval means. CONSTITUTION:The external terminals of a VTR11 and LDP12 are connected to the external terminals of a television receiver to look and listen the image signals and sound signals of the VTR11 and LDP12 and to record the output signals from the television receiver in the VTR11. At the sametime, the communication modes (modes for high-, middle-and low communications) of the VTR11 and LDP 12 are retrieved by a control section 5 and the communication speed with the VTR11 and LDP12 is set by a control section 6 in correspondence to the communication mode. According, the setting of the communication mode which is the higher communication speed is possible and the better response is obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of reproduced images by recording and reproducing chroma signals over a wide band by holding the frequency characteristic of an entire recording and reproducing system for chroma signals at a sien roll off characteristic. CONSTITUTION:After the chroma signals are sampled and the band is compressed, those signals are converted to low frequency and outputted to a magnetic head together with luminance signals and therefore, the chroma signals are recorded on a prescribed magnetic recording medium. In the case of reproducing, the chroma signals are extracted from reproduced signals S1 of the magnetic head, interpolated and outputted after extending the band. In the case of reproducing, prescribed reference signals P1 and SC are extracted from the reproduced signals S1, the signal level of the reference signals P1 and SC is detected and based on the signal level detected result of the reference signals P1 and SC, the frequency characteristic of the reproduced signals S1 is corrected so that the frequency characteristic of the entire recording and reproducing system for the chroma signals can be the sien roll off characteristic. Thus, the dispersion in the frequency characteristics of electromagnetic converting systems can be corrected, and the chroma signals can be recorded and reproduced while compressing the band.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of reproduced images by recording chroma signals over a wide band in a conventional format by specifically switching the phase of sampling and the phase of low frequency converted signals. CONSTITUTION:In the case of compressing a band by sampling the chroma signals of video signals, the phase of sampling is switched at 180 deg. for every two lines by a sub sampling circuit 32, the low frequency converted signals are generated by converting the chroma signals outputted from the sampling circuit 32 to the low frequency by a frequency conversion circuit 39, and the signals are recorded by switching the phase of the low-frequency converted signals for every one line. In a reproducing system, when sampling color difference signals outputted from a reproduced chroma signal processing circuit 35, those signals are sampled while switching the phase at 180 deg. for every two lines, and image data are reproduced. Then, since the image data are added while being delayed for one line by an interpolation circuit 37, the image data lost by sampling in the case of recording are interpolated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of reproduced images by correcting the phase of reproduced chroma signals by forming an APC loop by executing a de-emphasis processing so as to suppress side band waves concerning the burst signals of the chroma signals. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an interpolation circuit 37 to extract the chroma signals from reproduced signals S1, to execute an interpolation processing and to extend the band, de-emphasis circuit 50 to demodulate the chroma signals by executing a non-linear de-emphasis processing to the output signals of the interpolation circuit 37, and de-emphasis circuit 60 to suppress the side band waves concerning the burst signals of the chroma signals contained in the reproduced signals S1. Namely, after the bond of the chroma signals is extended, the chroma signals are demodulated by executing the non-linear de-emphasis processing and on the other hand, the side band waves are suppressed concerning the burst signals of the chroma signals. With the relevant burst signal as a reference, the APC loop is formed. Thus, the phase of the chroma signals can be surely corrected and therefore, the chroma signals recorded while compressing the band can be reproduced after the non-linear de-emphasis processing.

A needle 23 of a phonopickup 22 is engaged with a needle engagement groove 19 of this vibrating body 18, and the vibration is converted into an analog signal.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To recognize easily the state of an electronic device by providing a reply request function to a control means in an electronic apparatus having the electronic device and a control means for controlling the state of the said electronic apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A control signal SC is sent to a receiver 1 and a VTR 2 by a commander 3 to execute various controls for the receiver 1 and the VTR 2. The control signal SC from the commander 3 includes a reply request signal SQ. When the receiver 1 and the VTR 2 receive the said signal SQ, a reply signal SA representing the own status is returned. The commander 3 uses the built-in microcomputer to process the return signal and gives a display onto a display device 3a based on the signal SA. After the commander 3 sends the reply request signal SQ, the commander 3 is brought into the reception state in response to the transmission of the reply signal SA and the power consumption is saved.
