Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow the minimum part of an envelope waveform in respective channels to coincide with each other and to prevent the generation of double noise bars by forming an angular interval corresponding to a queue value at the time of variable-speed reproducing and a prescribed multiplied speed for review between n-pairs of rotary heads. CONSTITUTION:In the case of 2-channel simultaneous recording e.g., the magnetic heads A1, A2 and B1, B2 of respective channels are opposed at a 180 deg. angular interval and a magnetic tape 11 is wound around a rotary drum only by 180 deg. so as to record 160H (horizontal scanning lines) e.g. per track. At the time of finding out the distance between the magnetic heads A1, B1 and A2, B2 corresponding to +9 multiplied speed queue and -7 multiplied speed review, the H value comes to 20H. Thus, a timing discrepancy between signals SA1, SB1 can be removed by shifting the distance between respective heads only by the period of the minimum part of amplitude in the envelope waveforms of signals RFA, RFB reproduced by channels A, B. Consequently, double generation of noise bars can be prevented and the quality of a picture obtained at the time of variable-speed reproducing can be prevented from being deteriorated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To use a low-pass filter in simple constitution by limiting the band of a video signal to be recorded by the low-pass filter circuit to limit the band of the video signal to which a digital signal processing is executed. CONSTITUTION:The frequency bands of video signals YIN, PBIN and PRIN to be recorded to a recording medium 20 are limited by second low-pass filter circuits 8A and 8B. In the frequency bands of the video signals YIN and PBIN and PRIN to be recorded to the recording medium 20, the frequency properties of first low-pass filter circuits 40A-40C are set to flat amplitude properties and group delay properties and out of the frequency bands of the video signals YIN, PBIN and PRIN to be recorded to the recording medium 20, the frequency properties are set to smooth attenuating properties by the second low-pass filter circuits 8A and 8B. Thus, the constitution is simplified for the first low- pass filter circuits 40A-40C and the video signals YIN, PBIN and PRIN in the prescribed frequency bands are recorded.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent disturbance of a reproduced picture by allowing other recording head to record a control signal for a period except a period when one recording head records an audio signal and a period when an erasure head erases the audio signal. CONSTITUTION:A switch circuit SW6 is provided to select a replacement signal in place of a disturbed reproducing signal at after recording of an audio signal. That is, the switch circuit SW6 selects an input terminal (g) for a period when a recording current is fed to a head and for a period when an erasure current is fed to an erasure head, and the switch circuit SW6 selects an input terminal (f) for the period except the periods above. The switch circuits SW6, SW7 are synchronized, and when the switch circuit SW6 selects the input terminal (f), the switch circuit SW7 is closed, while the switch circuit SW6 selects the input terminal (g), the switch circuit SW7 is opened. Thus, an AFC circuit 18 generates a signal of a horizontal frequency synchronized with the horizontal synchronizing signal of a reproduced signal without disturbance.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain after recording of sound while observing a reproduced picture without use of an amplifier to a drum or a special head by winding a tape on the circumferential face of the drum provided with a couple of heads opposite to each other at an angle of 180 deg. so as to form 2nd and 3rd angular ranges before and after the 1st angular range and running the tape. CONSTITUTION:A couple of heads H1,H2 are provided on a drum D at an opposite interval of 180 deg. and brought into contact with a tape wound on the circumferential face of the drum and driven. The winding angle of the tape on the circumferential face of the drum is so decided that angular ranges thetaa,thetab corresponding to the region in which an audio signal Sa is recorded are arranged before and after the angular range thetav corresponding to the region in which a video signal Sv is recorded and the relation of thetaa=thetab,thetav+thetaa(or thetab)+2thetag=180 deg.C exists. The video signal is subject to time axis compression so that the recording is applied in the range of the angle thetav, recorded alternately by the heads H1,H2 and the audio signal Sa is subject to time axis compression so as to be recorded in one range of the angles thetaa and thetab and recorded alternately by the heads H1,H2.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To rotate a drum at constant revolution speed, and to decrease the band of a recording signal by successively recording signals in an NTSC system, etc., as the recording signal at one channel, and recording a high-vision signal after converting it into the recording signal at plural channels. CONSTITUTION:A period Tf for four heads H1 to H4 to make contact with a tape T is (1/60) seconds, and the phases of the period for the respective heads to make contact with the tapes of the respective heads deviate by 90 deg. respectively. When the color video signal in the NTSC system or a PAL system is recorded, the recording signals for one field are successively supplied to the heads H1 to H4. When the high-vision signal is recorded, the high-vision signal is converted into the recording signal at plural channels, and the signals for 1/3 fields are three-fold time-base-expanded to be a length for the field period Tf. Thus, the revolution speed of the drum are made constant, and the band of the recording signal is decreased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of a magnetic flux at the time of recording and reproduction so as to improve efficiency and to obtain a superior recording reproducing characteristic by providing winding windows on the side of an abutting surface, providing a winding hole in a nonmagnetic substrate and winding a coil with straddling the winding window and the winding hole in at least one of magnetic core half bodies. CONSTITUTION:The nonmagnetic substrates 13 and 14 in magnetic core half bodies III and IV consist of the nonmagnetic material of nonmagnetic ferrite or ceramics, etc., and the winding windows 17 and 18 for regulating the depth length of a magnetic gap 12 and for winding the coil 27 are generated on the sides of the abutting surfaces. The winding holes 25 and 26 to which the coil 27 is wound with straddling the winding windows 17 and 18 are generated on the nonmagnetic substrates 13 and 14. The coil 27 is wound with straddling the winding holes 25 and 26, and the winding windows 17 and 18, and it is wound in such a way that it surrounds the metallic magnetic films 15 and 16 of the magnetic material being a main core part as a center. Thus, the leakage of the magnetic flux at the time of recording and reproducing decreases so as to improve the efficiency of the magnetic flux, and the superior recording and reproducing characteristic can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a short ring and to reduce the size of constitution by fitting two couples of magnetic heads in specific relation, and specifying the channel arrangement of a rotary transformer and short-circuiting channels selectively. CONSTITUTION:The two couples of heads 2a and 2b, and 3a and 3b which are different in track width and also different in azimuth angle between opposite heads are fitted to a rotary drum 1 which is wound with a magnetic tape 4 by >=180 deg. so that the head 2, etc., in one couple which has one azimuth angle and the head 3, etc., in the other couple which has a similar azimuth angle are not close to each other. Further, the channels of the rotary transformer consisting of couples of transmission coils 12a and 16a-13a and 17a corresponding to the respective heads are also arranged similarly and the unused channel formed of the couple of coils 12a and 16a is short-circuited by a transistor which turns on in response to a signal. Consequently, crosstalk is precluded without using any short ring to reduce the size of constitution and speed up the operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the picture quality by providing the magnetic gap of a specified gap on a flying erase head. CONSTITUTION:The size of the magnetic gap 3 is selected to a value nearly coincident with the recording wavelength of a carrier frequency fc of a low conversion chroma signal. A coil 2 is wound onto a core 1 and used as the flying erase head 6. The head 6 is fitted to a prescribed position of the rotary drum and terminals 4, 5 lead out of both ends of the coil 2 and the coil of a prescribed channel of the rotor of the rotary transformer are connected. The coil of a prescribed channel at the stator side of the rotary transformer is connected to the erasure current generating circuit and an erasure signal is fed to the flying erase head via the rotary transformer. The gap loss is maximized at the frequency fc. The wavelength of a low frequency conversion chroma signal except its transient portion is always constant and the large portion of the power is concentrated onto the vicinity of the frequency fx. Thus, the deterioration of the picture quality is surely prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the short ring of a rotary transformer, to miniaturize the titled device and to upgrade its performance by short-circuiting, at necessities, a channel of a flying erase head and a channel of an adjacent recording/ reproducing head. CONSTITUTION:The flying erase head 4b for erasing inverse directional recording is mounted in such a position that it is apart from other magnetic heads 2a, 2b, 4a at least more than an angular interval corresponding to a PCM area and that the channel covered by this head 4b comes between a channel of the recording/reproducing magnetic head 4a and a channel of a flying erase head 4 for forward directional recording/erasing at the time of rotary transformer. On the other hand, in the case of erasing with the head 4b, since the head 2a does not operate, if a control signal supplied to the terminal 21 of a short- circuiting circuit connected to the coil 18a for a video channel converted by the head 2a neighboring the head 4b converts to a level H, a transistor 20 turns on, and the transmission line.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain high accuracy for pitch feeding of a recording track by applying recording/reproducing while moving a slide member with a magnetic head fitted thereto in the broadwise direction of a magnetic tape wound onto a rotary head drum in slide contact thereupon. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic heads 11, 12 are connected to a rotor coil 20a of a rotary transformer 20 by a led wire and pick up a signal externally together with a stator coil 20b opposite to the rotor coil 20a and the turning phase of the magnetic heads 11, 12 is detected by driving a PG magnet 17 incorporatedly with the rotary drum 2 with respect to an FG/PC board 19. A magnetic tape led out of a tape cassette is wound horizontally on the rotary drum 2 of the rotary head drum 1 and the tape running system is formed to run the tape while the height of the tape is kept constant till the tape enters again the tape cassette, then the constitution is simplified more than that of the tape running system where the height of tape is varied while the tape guide or the like is tilted such as the helical scan system and the adjustment of the tape running system is simplified.
