Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retarded resin composition having excellent flame retardance and moldability, capable of controlling reduction in mechanical characteristics when treated in a high-temperature high-humidity state, having excellent recycling properties, suitable for automobile, electric/electronic parts. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by mixing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polypropylene terephthalate resin with (B) 0.1-20 pts.wt. of red phosphorus having 0.1-1,000 μS/cm electric conductivity (the electric conductivity of extracted solution with water is measured by adding 100 mL pure water pure water to 5 g red phosphorus, extracting at 121 deg.C for 100 hours, filtering red phosphorus and diluting the filtrate into 250 mL).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame retarded resin composition excellent in mechanical properties, flame retardancy and electric characteristics, also suppressing a bleed out caused by a moist heat treatment and causing small deterioration in electrical characteristics by the moist heat treatment. SOLUTION: This flame retarded resin composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester resin, (B) 0.1-50 pts.wt. layered silicate of which exchangeable cation existing between layers is exchanged by an organic onium ion and (C) 0.1-30 pts.wt. red phosphorus having 1-1,000 μS/cm conductivity (provided that the above conductivity is that of an extract water obtained by adding 100 mL pure water to 5 g red phosphorus, extracting at 121 deg.C for 100 hr, filtering the red phosphorus and then diluting the filtrate to 250 mL.).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a molded product having any portion for inserting screw, having high flame retardancy, mechanical characteristics, heat resistance, bleed resistance in wet heat treatment and contamination resistance of contact points in wet heat treatment, and excellent in self-tapping property. SOLUTION: This molded product is made of a flame resistant resin composition comprising (A) 100 pts.wt. polybutylene terephthalate, (B) 5-100 pts.wt. resin having >=10% residue at 500 deg.C according to a thermal test in air at 40 deg.C/min heating speed and (C) 0.1-30 pts.wt. red phosphorus having 0.1-1,000 μS/cm electric conductivity. The electric conductivity is measured by adding 100 mL purified water to 5 g red phosphorus, by the extraction treatment at 121 deg.C for 100 h., by filtering the red phosphorus and by diluting the filtrate with purified water so as for the total volume to become 250 mL.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for rendering a resin flame retardant which is excellent in handleability and recyclability and is used for converting an inflammable resin into a halogen-free flame retardant resin, a flame retardant resin composition comprising the resin composition and excellent in flame retardancy, mechanical characteristics, moist heat resistant properties and recyclability, and a molded article. SOLUTION: The resin composition for rendering a resin flame retardant comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a PBT resin having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.36-1.60 measured at 25 deg.C using o-chlorophenol as a solvent and/or a PET having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.40-1.50 measured at 25 deg.C using a 1:1 mixed solvent of phenol/tetrachloroethane and (B) 30-300 pts.wt. of red phosphorus having an electroconductivity of 0.1-1,000 μS/cm, provided that the electroconductivity is that of the extraction water obtained by adding 100 ml of pure water to 5 g of red phosphorus, effecting extraction at 121 deg.C for 100 hr filtering off the red phosphorus and diluting the filtrate to 250 ml.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin molding excellent in thin-wall rigidity, thin-wall impact resistance, especially, thin-wall weld strength, and excellent in the hydrolysis resistance of the weld under high-temperature high-humidity conditions by providing a weld comprising a polypropylene terephthalate resin. SOLUTION: The polypropylene terephthalate resin (PT resin) used is a thermoplastic polyester prepared from an acid component being terephthalic acid and a glycol component being 1,3-propylene glycol. It is desirable that 100 pts.wt. PT resin is mixed with 5-100 pts.wt. elastomer (e.g. olefinic elastomer) having a glass transition temperature of 20 deg.C or below, and the mean particle diameter of the disperse phase comprising the elastomer is 20 μm or below. It is desirable that 0.01-5 pts.wt. epoxy compound (e.g. diepoxy compound) is added to 100 pts.wt. PT resin. It is desirable that 0.01-20 pts.wt. nucleator (e.g. talc) is used per 100 pts.wt. PT resin.

Red phosphorus stabilized by coating with a thermosetting resin is pref. Pref., the compsn. further contains, based on 100 pts.wt. polyamide resin, 5-140 pts.wt. filler, 0.01-20 pts.wt. metal oxide, and 0.01-10 pts.wt. fluororesin. Polyamide 6, polyamide 66, and their copolymers are pref. as the polyamide resin; copper (I) oxide, copper (II) oxide, and titanium oxide are pref. as the metal oxide; and polytetrafluoroethylene is pref. as the fluororesin.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having excellent thin-wall flowability, heat-resistance, organic solvent resistance and moldability and useful for electrical and electronic-relating instruments, etc., by compounding a specific polyketone copolymer with a liquid crystalline resin at a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) 50-99.99 wt.% of a polyketone copolymer containing (A1 ) the recurring unit of formula I and (A2 ) the recurring unit of formula II at an A2 /A1 molar ratio of 0.01-0.10 and (B) 0.01-50 wt.% of a liquid crystalline resin [e.g. a liquid crystalline polyester (amide) containing ethylene dioxide unit as an essential component and having a weight-average molecular weight of 900-60,000]. The composition preferably further contains (C) 0.001-10 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A) of a compound selected from phosphoric acid metal salt and (hypo)phosphorous acid metal salt.
