Abstract:
An apparatus for massaging mountable behind the back of a chair and capable of being moved vertically to provide relaxing massage to a user sitting on the chain. A reversible motor mechanism provides the rotational motion to a clutch assembly that selectively engages one of two gear assemblies that in turn activate two different linkage and reciprocating mechanisms that simulate or follow the movements of the fingers of a conventional masseur.
Abstract:
A massaging apparatus comprises a massaging unit (307) having a therapeutic member for performing massaging motion provided so as to move along a user's body, wherein equipment to be arranged on a specific portion of the user's body is provided so that the position of the equipment with respect to the massaging apparatus is detected to determine the position of the specific portion of the user with respect to the massaging apparatus, or wherein there are provided equipment to be arranged on a specific portion of the user's body and detecting means (359) for detecting the position of the equipment with respect to the massaging apparatus so that the position of the specific portion of the user with respect to the massaging apparatus is determined from the position of the equipment with respect to the massaging apparatus detected by the detecting means (359), or wherein detecting means (359) is provided between equipment of the massaging apparatus to be arranged at a specific portion of the user's body and the massaging unit (307) for detecting that both of them are approaching with each other, so that the position of the specific portion of the user with respect to the massaging apparatus is determined from the position of the position of the massaging unit (307) at the moment when the approach of the equipment and the massaging unit are detected by detecting means (359).
Abstract:
A massaging apparatus comprises a main body (402) of the massaging apparatus, a positioning body (414) provided on the main body (402) of the massaging apparatus to be movable along a length direction of the user, and a position control element (449, 450) for manually positioning the positioning body (414) at arbitrary positions, wherein a memory (439) for storing the position of the positioning body (414) determined by the manual operation of the position control element (449, 450) as a reference position is provided.
Abstract:
The invention provides a massage machine comprising a massage unit which itself can be pushed out relative to a backrest to thereby enable therapeutic fingers to be pushed out by a great amount. The massage machine comprises a backrest (12) provided on a chair for the person to be massaged to sit in, and a massage unit (20) reciprocatingly movable upward and downward longitudinally of the backrest (12) and having a pair of therapeutic fingers (30),(30) projecting from the backrest (12). The machine further comprises a pushing-out mechanism (60) for moving the.massage unit (20) forward or rearward relative to the backrest (12).
Abstract:
In operating a massaging machine having massaging members and a motor for causing the massaging members to vibrate to massage a patient, a pulsed driving signal is applied to the motor for repetitively switching on and off the motor for specified time lengths such that the motor is intermittently activated, rather than continuously.
