Abstract:
A multifunctional filter valve is provided. The multifunctional filter valve includes a valve body, a rotatable valve plate, a fixed valve plate, and a driving device. A water inlet, a water outlet, and a drainage outlet are disposed on a side wall of the valve body. The water outlet is configured to connect to a valve. An inner chamber and an outer chamber are defined in the valve body. The inner chamber defines a central drainage chamber, a working chamber, a backward washing chamber, and a blind chamber. A first filter element interface and a second filter element interface are defined at a bottom of the valve body. The combination of fixed valve plate and rotatable valve plate achieves a normal operation mode, a backward washing mode, and a forward washing mode. The multifunctional filter valve has a simpler structure and lower production cost.

The distributor caps each have: a fluid distribution mechanism having a working connection and at least two supply or discharge connections, wherein the fluid distribution mechanism can assume at least two defined switching positions; connection mechanisms for establishing a flow communication between a fluid inlet or outlet of the separation unit or the first functional unit and the working connection of the fluid distribution mechanism; coupling mechanisms for establishing a rigid mechanical coupling and a flow communication with an adjacent distributor cap; and an interface for changing the switching positions of the fluid distribution mechanism.
Abstract:
A milking device for milking a dairy animal is provided with milking mechanism, a control system, a milk pipeline for transporting the milk from the milking mechanism to a milk tank, a milk filter and a cleaning device. The cleaning device includes at least one cleaning fluid holder, a heating device for heating cleaning fluid in the cleaning fluid holder, an additive storage holder for additive, an additive adding device for controlled addition of the additive to cleaning fluid, and a valve system for regulating flows of cleaning fluid and additive through the milking device. The cleaning device is configured for carrying out a cleaning cycle of the milking device with a prerinse with cold or tepid water, a hot rinse with heated water and an acidic or basic additive, a postrinse, and at least between the hot rinse and the postrinse, a counterflow cleaning step by passing cleaning fluid in counterflow through the milk filter. Thus, a milking device is provided that can be cleaned automatically as a whole including the milk filter. In particular, because the counterflow cleansing takes place after the hot rinse step, there is better removal of dirt and milk residues that are softened thereby, in particular from the milk filter.

Abstract:
Duplex fluid strainers, systems and methods can include a housing with a first valve chamber defining an inlet port, a first port, and a second port, and a second valve chamber defining a third port, a fourth port, and an outlet port. The first and third ports can be in communication with a first strainer chamber, and the second and fourth ports can be in communication a second strainer. A first seal assembly can include a first disk that is movable within the first valve chamber into sealing engagement against either of the first port or the second port, and a second seal assembly can include a second disk that is movable within the second valve chamber into sealing engagement against either of the third port or the fourth port.
Abstract:
A modular filter system using replaceable filter cartridges includes a locking arrangement that prevents rotation of the flow control valve spindle in the filter head, but includes an unlocking arrangement on the cartridge that unlocks the locking arrangement if the proper replacement cartridge is used. The locking arrangement may include spring biased locking pins carried on the filter head and matching unlocking pins on the filter cartridge to operate through an intermediate adaptor ring that is set on assembly to match the positions of the locking and unlocking pins.
Abstract:
Reverse osmosis filtration systems that are self contained and easily converted from above the counter use to below the counter use. The systems feature a simple construction, including a two piece manifold assembly to which filters, including a reverse osmosis filter, a product water storage tank and a control valve connect, all without separate fasteners. The manifold assembly provides all water connections within the system, and includes connections to connect to a water supply, a drain, two dispensers and to an auxiliary water storage tank. The system pressurizes squeeze water for product water dispensing, providing maximum efficiency, maximum storage capacity for a given tank size and maximum pressure for dispensing product water. Various embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
A valve assembly is disclosed for use in conjunction with a replaceable filter cartridge system. The valve assembly includes a head member having an interior valve chamber defining a central axis, and inlet and outlet passages extending parallel to and communicating with the interior valve chamber. The valve assembly further includes a valve member having an inlet path and an outlet path, adapted for rotation within the interior valve chamber of the head member between a filter position wherein the inlet path of the valve member is in communication with the inlet passage of the head member and a bypass position wherein the inlet path of the valve member is out of communication with the inlet passage of the head member. The valve assembly further includes a seal member seated in an upper surface of the valve member and positioned to seal against an opposing surface of the interior valve chamber. The seal member sealingly isolates untreated and treated fluid streams flowing through the inlet and outlet paths of the valve member, respectively, when the valve member is in the filter position, and sealingly isolates the inlet and outlet passages of the head member from the atmosphere when the valve member is in the bypass position to permit fluid to flow therebetween.
Abstract:
Regeneration of water treatment media is disclosed which includes a water treatment unit having one or more media therein, and which upon initiation of flow of the water, imparts turbulence and abrasion to the treatment medium to automatically cleanse the medium of light solid contaminants, as well as contaminant coatings on the media. This greatly improves the operation of the media and extends its life. In addition, the water treatment unit disclosed may simply be rotated through any one of a number of positions between service, backwash, flush, off and/or bypass operational modes for further regeneration of the treatment media.
