Abstract:
PURPOSE: A door control system for an elevator using a destination reservation terminal and a control method thereof are provided to improve the operation efficiency of an elevator because the elevator is controlled by calculating continuous calling number and distances between a destination reservation terminal and a platform door when passengers operate the destination reservation terminal. CONSTITUTION: A door control system for an elevator using a destination reservation terminal comprises a destination reservation terminal(10), a central controller(20), and a door controller(30). The destination reservation terminal is arranged in an elevator platform. A destination is inputted through the destination reservation terminal. The central controller generates control signals by calculating door opening time based on passenger moving time from the destination reservation terminal to the platform door and calling number inputted in the destination reservation terminal. The door controller controls an elevator door to open the elevator door for a constant time according to the control signals from the central controller. PURPOSE: An elevator operating system and method are provided to improve transportation efficiency to thereby electrical energy and waiting time of users. CONSTITUTION: An elevator operating system comprises an elevator button portion(110), an operation display window(120), and an operation server(130). The elevator button portion is provided to an elevator hall entrance. A user inputs a number of a destination floor through the elevator button portion. The operation display window is provided to the upper part of the elevator door and displays an operation floor number of elevator. The operation server sets a group of same input destination floor numbers when the destination floor numbers are input through the elevator button portion and displays the elevator floor number on the operation display window. The operation server runs the elevator to a floor corresponding to a group having the largest number of users first.

PURPOSE: A group controlling method for an elevator is provided to reduce waiting time for passengers who get on an elevator by moving two or more elevators in case the number of waiting users exceeds the fixed number of passengers of one elevator. CONSTITUTION: A group controlling method for an elevator comprises following steps. The passengers who stand by a platform are detected and the number of passengers is calculated. In case of one story in which the calculated number of passengers exceeds the full complement, the number of elevators corresponding to passenger number/ full complement number is assigned and in case of two or more exceeded stories, the elevators are uniformly assigned according to the exceeded stories.

PURPOSE: A system and a method for the group control of elevators by using a camera are provided to satisfy customers and to cut down the costs of elevator operation by reducing the average waiting time of passengers. CONSTITUTION: Cameras are installed in each floor. A group control unit allocates the elevator optimal to the hall calls of each floor by considering the hall calls of each floor, the number of waiting passengers, and the interior condition of the elevators. When the arrival pattern of passengers is changed, a control tuning unit generates an elevator allocation function by receiving a request from the group control unit. If one elevator is not enough for a hall call, more than two elevators are allocated previously. Thereby, the waiting time of the passengers is reduced.
