Abstract: A transport container for helium, with an inner container for receiving the helium, a coolant container for receiving a cryogenic liquid (N2), an outer container, in which the inner container and the coolant container are contained, a thermal shield, in which the inner container is contained and which can be actively cooled with the aid of a liquid phase of the cryogenic liquid (LN2), the thermal shield having at least one first cooling line, in which the liquid phase of the cryogenic liquid can be received for actively cooling the thermal shield, and an insulating element, which is arranged between the outer container and the thermal shield and which can be actively cooled with the aid of a gaseous phase of the cryogenic liquid (GN2), the insulating element having at least one second cooling line, in which the gaseous phase of the cryogenic liquid can be received.

Abstract: A catalytic tank heater includes a removably attached catalytic heater cartridge having catalytic material. The heater is attached to an LPG tank to position the catalytic heater cartridge to face the tank. The catalytic heater cartridge covers a plenum chamber of the catalytic tank heater. A fuel distribution header and heating element are positioned within the plenum chamber and are controlled to initiate combustion of the catalytic material to heat the tank. Vapor from the tank is provided as fuel to the catalytic tank heater, and is regulated to increase heat output as tank pressure drops. The catalytic heater cartridge can be replaced with a new cartridge while at the location of the tank on a property.

Abstract: Some embodiments include a method of providing substantially uninterrupted gas service by coupling at least one gas cylinder to a portable tanking assembly. The tanking assembly can include a cart including a rear frame and a coupled carrier frame supported on an axle with wheels. In some embodiments, the carrier frame can include a caged regulation assembly housing at least a portion of a regulation apparatus with an upstream supply end coupled to a downstream delivery end. In some embodiments, the regulation apparatus includes a primary regulator coupled a one relief valve. The relief valve can be coupled to a downstream regulator, coupled to a water column gauge. In some embodiments, the regulation apparatus further includes a delivery valve. In some embodiments, the delivery valve comprises a distribution manifold assembly including a manifold and a plurality of distribution couplers coupled to the manifold.

Abstract: An aerosol container (10) dispenses a fluid product under pressure. A pressure relief mechanism (30) vents the container in a controlled manner when the container is subjected to excessive pressure so to prevent the container from bursting. The container has a container body (12) of a hollow, generally cylindrical shape. Pressurized contents of the container are expelled through a valve assembly (18) installed at one end of the container. An end piece (22) attached to the container body at the other end of the container has a first circular shaped section (26) surrounded by a ring shaped outer section (28). The pressure relief mechanism comprises U-shaped score lines (32) formed across the transition between the two sections of the end piece. These score lines create lines of weakness in the material from which the end piece is made for the end piece to fracture along the score lines when the pressure within the container exceeds a predetermined pressure level. This allows the container to vent a controlled manner rather than burst.

Abstract: A cartridge for pressurized fluid. The cartridge includes a body having a cylindrical portion and a bottom having a concavity oriented toward the inside of the body. The connection between the bottom and the body is made by an annular seam. The particular structure of the connection zone provides a reduction in the diameter of the body for connection to a bottom of lesser diameter without creating zones of concentration of stresses. Another arrangement of the cartridge provides for the bottom to have a cylindrical portion that bears against the cylindrical end portion of the body, which makes it possible to create a rigid zone.

Abstract: The present invention provides a compressed gas cylinder that is capable of storing a compressed fluid at high pressures. The cylinder of the present invention includes a body terminating in an inwardly domed cap. The dome included in the cap of the compressed gas cylinder of the present invention is formed such that the material near the tip of the dome is relatively thinner than the material near the base of the dome. The tip of the dome, therefore, creates a pierce region in the cap that can be pierced through the application of a relatively low pressure.
