An object detection device of the present invention has: a stereo distance detection portion 105 that detects a distance to an object; a position detection portion 106 that detects a position of the object; a pose detection portion 111 that detects a pose of the object; a vehicle information input portion that inputs state information about a host vehicle and a different vehicle; a position prediction portion 109 that predicts a position of the different vehicle based on the state information about the host vehicle and the different vehicle; a pose prediction portion 110 that predicts a pose of the different vehicle based on the state information about the host vehicle and the different vehicle; and a determination portion 112 that determines a distance to, a position of, and a pose of the different vehicle in response to the information detected or predicted by the distance detection portion, the position detection portion, the pose detection portion, the position prediction portion, and the pose prediction portion.

Abstract: An image obtainer detects a reflected light to obtain a reflected light image representing an intensity distribution of the reflected light, and detects an ambient light not including the reflected light to obtain a background light image representing an intensity distribution of the ambient light. A distinction detector distinguishes and detects, from the background light image, a vehicle area and a parts area in which an intensity of the reflected light tends to be high. An intensity identifier identifies a magnitude of a light intensity of the background light image and the reflected light image. A validity determiner determines validity of arrangement of the parts area based on the intensity distribution of the reflected light image in the parts area. A vehicle detector detects the vehicle by using the magnitude of the light intensity of the background light image and the reflected light image and the validity.

Abstract: An object detection system may apply an object detection model to the first image frame to predict a location of a first bounding box of an object in the first image frame and apply a confidence value to the predicted location of first bounding box. In response to the confidence level exceeding a predetermined threshold, a location of a second bounding box in the second image frame may be estimated based on the location of the first bounding box and non-zero movement of the vehicle. The object detection model is updated based on the estimated location of the second bounding box in the second image frame. A location of a third bounding box in the third image frame is predicted using the updated object detection model. An operation of the vehicle is controlled based on the predicted location of the third bounding box.

Abstract: A device captures a series of images over time in association with a gate, each image having a timestamp. The device determines, for a vehicle approaching the entry side, from a subset of images of the series of images featuring the vehicle, a first data set comprising a plurality of parameters that describe attributes of the vehicle by inputting the subset of images into a first machine learning model and a vehicle identifier of the vehicle by inputting images of the subset featuring a depiction of a license plate of the vehicle into a second machine learning model. The device stores the data set in association with one or more timestamps with the subset of images, determines a second data set for a second vehicle approaching the exit side, and responsive to determining that the first data set and the second data set match, instructs the gate to move.

Abstract: An information processing device includes a satellite image acquisition section, a vehicle extraction section, an analysis section, and a prediction section. The satellite image acquisition section acquires a satellite image. The vehicle extraction section extracts large-sized vehicles, which have a size equal to or greater than a predetermined value, from the satellite image acquired by the satellite image acquisition section. The analysis section detects, in the satellite image, a road on which travel of the large-sized vehicles is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, and analyzes vehicle data for the detected road. The prediction section predicts a state of deterioration of a surface of the road based on an analysis result by the analysis section.
