A memory card (103) for use in an electronic apparatus (101) is proposed. In order to control an electronic apparatus (101) with an inbuilt processor (301) incapable of exporting digital data externally of the electronic apparatus (101), a user local at the electronic apparatus (101) is required to operate the electronic apparatus (101). This is not always convenient. The proposed memory card (103) has a wireless module (207) for receiving an instruction wirelessly from a remote wireless-enabled apparatus (105), and also a central processor (201) for controlling the inbuilt processor (301) of the electronic apparatus (101) in accordance with the received instruction.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de transmission sécurisée utilisant un serveur de télécopie, comprenant les étapes suivantes une étape de transmission, par l'émetteur, à un serveur du document à télécopier, sous la forme d'un fichier numérique d'un format non-télécopie, ainsi qu'une information relative à l'identité du destinataire, une étape de calcul d'un fichier de format Tiff à partir dudit fichier numérique d'une part, de la date et de l'heure de création dudit fichier et d'un fichier informatif d'autre part et la modification dudit fichier Tiff à transmettre pour insérer une signature et une information permettant au destinataire d'accéder à des fichiers enregistrés. Ce fichier est ensuite transmis par le serveur à l'adresse téléphonique du destinataire dudit fichier, selon un standard télécopie. L'invention concerne également un système et programme d'ordinateur pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.

Provided is an image reading apparatus including a DLNA device search unit to search for at least one DLNA device capable of being connected to the image reading apparatus; a communication interface to obtain device information regarding the searched at least one DLNA device; a user interface to receive a scan-to-DLNA command, to display a list of the searched at least one DLNA device, and receive a selection of a DLNA device to which the document is transmitted from among the displayed at least one DLNA device; a scanning unit to generate a scanned image by scanning the document; and a controlling unit to control the communication interface to transmit the scanned image to the selected DLNA device.
Abstract:
A transmission apparatus transmits e-mail to a reception apparatus through a network by selecting one of a communication method via a mail server and a communication method without intervention of a mail server. This transmission apparatus generates the e-mail and transmits, to the reception apparatus, the e-mail and information representing the reply method of a transmittal confirmation request in response to the e-mail. The transmission apparatus receives, from the reception apparatus in accordance with the reply method, a transmittal confirmation result in response to the transmitted e-mail.

There is described a network image forming apparatus system including the image forming apparatus capable of communicating with a predetermined network. The system includes means for verifying to determine whether or not an image forming apparatus is capable of receiving electronic mail correctly; and means for displaying the result of this verification, and, if setting of a connection parameter is incorrect, displaying a particular item of incorrect setting and a way of correcting this incorrect setting; wherein self-transmission and reception is possible without being affected by delay in distribution of electronic mail to a mail server; the display means showing for a user a message indicating the necessity of rebooting if there is any change in the connection parameter requiring rebooting of the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
Means (1) for transmitting/receiving an electronic mail to/from a network is provided. From a received mail, its identification information is generated and a reply mail including the identification information is sent to the sender of the mail. When an attached file of the received mail cannot be opened, a message ID of the received mail is added in the identification information. In such a manner, even when a large capacity memory or a hard disk is not provided, whether the data has been sent normally or erroneously is reported to the sender accurately and easily.
