Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reader capable of satisfactorily reading an image by suppressing an influence of heat and vibration generated from an electric board or an image reading element during a document-reading operation.SOLUTION: The document reader for reading a document placed on an original platen while moving a frame holding a reading element comprises: a fixation member to which the reading element is fixed; and frame driving means for moving the frame. The fixation member is fixed partially by first fixing means and is fixed, at a position closer to the end than the position fixed by the first fixing means, by second fixing means more elastic than the first fixing means.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a liquid crystal element without affecting a region of a liquid crystal layer surrounded with a sealing material and to allow the liquid crystal element to be driven, without influencing the number of components, in the liquid crystal element applied to an optical scanner. SOLUTION: The optical scanner comprises at least an optical system, in which an optical element 43 capable of phase modulation of an optical beam is arranged in an optical path from a light source 60 to a surface 3 to be scanned and an optical housing 91 for housing them, wherein the optical housing 91 is equipped with a holder member 95 for fixing the liquid crystal element 43. The liquid crystal element 43 has a sealing material for sealing the liquid crystal layer clamped between transparent glass substrates, wherein the external shape of one glass substrate 83b is made larger than that of the other glass substrate 83a, with the liquid crystal element being positioned at the holder member 95, by only the glass substrate 83b whose external shape is largest. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a read image by reducing the illumination fluctuation on the read area. SOLUTION: This image reader provided with a case 1, a plurality of light sources 6 arranged in a column shape in the case 1, a plurality of wall surfaces 15a to 15c which define an optical path 14 for illumination that makes light emitted from the plurality of light sources 6 proceed toward a linear read area S in the case 1 and enable the light to be reflected and a lens array 3 which is for forming the image of an original D arranged in the read area S on a plurality of photodetectors 7, is provided with a light shade 16 preventing the light from directly proceeding toward the area S from each of the light sources 6. A hole part 17 filled up with an adhesive 39 is provided in the case 1 as a means fixing the array 3, and is prevented from being open toward the optical path 14.
Abstract:
The present invention is made to provide a fixing structure for solid state image forming device made inexpensively and easily by simple caulking adhering method with keeping high positional accuracy, by which it is achieved that the solid state image forming device can be separated easily from the image focusing lens holding member when the image focusing lens holding member has a defect. In the fixing structure of present invention, an image focusing lens holding member 3 and an intermediate holding member 6 are adhered by caulking adhering method. Because one or more projecting portion 3 c for painting adhesive material formed on the image focusing lens holding member 3, have smaller area than that of bottom surface 6 a of the intermediate holding member 6, a space 10 is formed between the image focusing lens holding member 3 and the intermediate holding member 6, the solid state image forming device 1 fixed on the intermediate holding member 6 can be easily separated from the image focusing lens holding member 3 by inserting and turning a tool 11 whose width of top portion is smaller than the width of space 10.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading unit capable of performing rotation of lens barrels and distance adjustment between the lens barrels independently with a simple constitution without complicating the structure of the lens barrels. SOLUTION: The image reading unit is provided with at least two groups of lenses which allow a line type photoelectric conversion element 12 to contract and form a reflected image from an original, lens barrels 14, 15 which respectively retain the lenses and constitute an image formation lens system 16, and a base member 10 on which the line type photoelectric conversion element 12 and lens barrels 14, 15 are arranged, wherein at least the one lens barrel 14 and line type photoelectric conversion element 12 are stuck and fixed on the base member 10 via intermediate retaining members 13, 19.
