Abstract:
A color cathode ray tube includes an electron gun having a distributed lens system which yields smaller spot sizes on a phosphor screen at intermediate and higher cathode currents when compared with prior art electrostatic lenses having similar diameters. The lens establishes an essentially exponentially increasing potential distribution along the electron beam path.

1307658 Electric discharge apparatus DELTARAY CORP 20 May 1971 [21 May 1970] 16103/71 Heading H1D An electrode for an accelerator tube comprises a conductive member having a central aperture 11 for the passage of particles, the member being shaped such that the displacement of the surface from the principal plane 27 at a given radial distance from the centre varies sinusoidally and has an amplitude which varies as an increasing function of the radial distance up to a selected distance r 2 . The electrode may be cup-shaped with the centre displaced from the principal plane, as in Fig. 7 (not shown). The electrodes when arranged in succession may be oriented to give a converging or diverging beam of accelerated particles. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,116,441.
Abstract:
The system comprises an array of parallel filiform electrodes and each micro-lens is made up of at least four adjacent electrodes which define a tunnel having a cross-section in the shape of a square. Each vertex of the square is intercepted by a quarter-circle of the cross-section of the adjacent one of said electrodes and the cross-section of said array in a plane at right angles to said electrodes forms a substantially square lattice. Means are also provided for electrically polarizing said electrodes.
Abstract:
A patient monitoring system detects physiological signals from a patient during an MRI examination. The patient monitoring system wirelessly transmits data associated with the physiological signals to a remote base unit. The wireless transmission of data is carried out in a manner to not be disruptive to the MRI examination. The patient monitoring system has a removable, MRI magnet compatible battery.
