    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an algal reef block which has no fear of bite damage by fishes, raises and breeds algae and is useful also as a fish-breeding reef.
    SOLUTION: The algal reef has constitution that an alga attaching part 4 is arranged in an inside space part 2 in an open state at least on the top face in a frame body 1 and a net part 3 for isolating fishes which exists at a part higher than the growth point part of algae above the alga attaching part 4, crosses the inside space part 2, has a mesh of proper size to pass grown leaf parts of algae but to prevent fishes from entering is installed.
