    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core pin which can improve the productivity in casting work.
    SOLUTION: The core pin 5 is assembled on the inner surface of a casting metallic die from its cavity side, and is composed of a core portion 51 projecting into the cavity in the inner surface of the metallic die and an assembling portion 52 to be buried in the metallic die in the inner surface of the metallic die. The assembling portion 52 is composed of a screw portion 53 to be screwed into a screw hole formed on the inner surface of the metallic die and a flange portion 54 to form the surface which is flush with the inner surface of the metallic die. The flange portion 54 has four recessed portions 6 on the surface on the core portion 51 side. The recessed portions 6 are formed so as to produce energizing forces for turning the screw portion 53 in the fastening direction by receiving the pressure of the molten metal to be poured in the casting work.
