    Abstract: An apparatus for reducing organic sludge is provided to achieve high-efficiency reduction of the organic sludge, by controlling the flow rate of organic sludge, the operating condition of an electrolytic bath, etc., so as to perform electrolysis actively. An apparatus for reducing organic sludge reduces the organic sludge generated when removing organic matters and nutrient salt from sewage and wastewater by using an electrolytic bath. The apparatus comprises a solid-liquid separation bath(20), a bioreactor(10), an MLSS(Mixed Liquid Suspended Solid) meter(11) and an ORP(Oxidation-Reduction Potential) meter(12) disposed at one side of the bioreactor, surplus sludge flow rate-regulating valve(21) and a recovery sludge flow rate-regulating valve(22), and an automatic operation controller(30) controls an operating condition by using operating information received from the MLSS meter and the ORP meter. The electrolytic bath includes a direct oxidation bath and an indirect oxidation bath. The direct oxidation bath has an upflow type stirrer for maximizing the contact between the organic sludge and an electrolytic electrode. The indirect oxidation bath has a bubble unit for re-oxidizing and stabilizing peroxide materials contained in the electrolytic sludge. The electrolytic bath, the surplus sludge flow rate-regulating valve, the recovery sludge flow rate-regulating valve, a rectifier(50) are controlled according to information transmitted from the automatic operation controller. Further, a denitrification-dephosphorization process, an active sludge, an anaerobic-anoxic oxic process or an SBR process is performed in the bioreactor.
