Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for drying and cleaning waste articles of a cathode ray tube are provided to remove the impurities adhered to a panel and a funnel by spraying an abrasive and air with high pressure. CONSTITUTION: A conveyer unit(10) mounts a panel or a funnel to transfer it. A nozzle unit(20) is located on a moving path of the conveyer unit(10) and sprays an abrasive to outer and inner surfaces of the panel or the funnel by high-compressed air. A cleaning unit of a clamp unit(30) is located on the moving path of the conveyer unit(10) and holds the moving panel or the funnel. A dust unit collects dusts such as a fluorescent substance removed from the panel or the funnel by the abrasive. A control unit controls each of units.
