Abstract:
The method for forming surface-engraved panels clad with a sheet of thermodeformable material, particularly PVC, comprises a preliminary stage of engraving the surface of a chipboard substrate to obtain cavities therein in accordance with a predetermined design, and a subsequent stage in which an adhesive is spread over said surface followed by a sheet of thermodeformable material which covers said cavities, and is characterised in that the panel (6) prepared in this manner is passed through at least one pair of rollers (7, 8), of which the roller (8) in contact with said surface is formed of elastically yieldable material which causes the sheet of thermodeformable material, previously heated until soft, to penetrate into said cavities.
Abstract:
A composite thermoplastic continuous laminate, particularly for cladding flat or shaped panels of wooden material, characterised by comprising a through-coloured lower layer (2), an intermediate layer (4) of transparent material, and a through colored upper layer (6, 10) of different colour and/or characteristics from those of the lower layer.
Abstract:
A process for forming MDF/chipboard furniture panels provided with an embedded handle, characterised by: - forming in the exposed surface of the panel a substantially parallelepiped first cavity (4) having dimensions greater than the handle dimensions, - inserting a block (6) into said first cavity (4), - applying an HDF cover (8) to said surface, - subjecting the cover and part of the block to pantograph-milling to define a substantially parallelepiped second cavity (10) of smaller dimensions than the first cavity (4), - applying a cladding sheet (12) of polymer material to the panel surface and to the interior of said second cavity (10) by thermoforming, - performing a pantograph-milling operation to remove the cladding sheet (12) covering the base and the sides of the cavity to form the handle grips.
Abstract:
