[Also in Division E2] An anchoring device for mounting a pin in a bore comprises a sleeve 78 having a flange 118 at its outer end and external louvre-like projections 122 facing and diverging towards that end. The sleeve has at least a portion of non- circular, preferably hexagonal, internal crosssection, and its inner end 120 is preferably free from the external projections to facilitate its entry into the bore. The sleeve may be formed from two longitudinal three-sided segments 124 joined at the base 116 and bent outwards at their free ends to provide flange parts 126; the segmental flange is then embraced by an annular channel shaped retainer 128 to secure the free ends of the segments 124 against outward displacement. The sleeve houses a projecting pin 98 which has a non-circular portion within the sleeve, co-operating with the corresponding portion of the latter to prevent the pin rotating therein. The inner end of the pin may have an axial bore carrying a compression spring 156 (see Fig. 3) acting against the inside end of the sleeve; or a screw threaded portion extending beyond the open end of the sleeve, carrying a nut 132 which bears against the sleeve flange. The sleeve and pin may form part of a pivot hinge for mounting a door (see Division E2).

Sliding door panels 32 have framing members 40, 42, 46 with laterally staggered inwardly and outwardly facing channels, the inwardly facing channels receiving the panels, and the outwardly facing channels receiving flanges 88 and 90 or 188 and 190 of corner connectors 48 or 50, said flanges each having a hole 92 or 192 or a notch 94 or 194 respectively therein, into which portions of the walls of the outwardly facing channels are struck. Each panel has two upper connectors 48, each carrying a vertically adjustable support 102 with a roller 28, and two lower connectors 50, each carrying a vertically movable guide element 30 having two downwardly extending projections, 216 and 218, co-operating with an undercut channel-section guide rail 26, the projection 216 being thicker than the projection 218, and forming a sliding fit in the rail 26, and the projection 218 having a lateral flange 220 engaging the neck of the rail.
