Abstract: A filter apparatus for use with a powder spray booth includes an air flow chamber having an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The air flow chamber defines an air flow path extending through the air flow chamber between the inlet opening and the outlet opening. The inlet opening enables air to flow from a powder spray booth into the air flow chamber. A fan in the air flow chamber draws air from the booth through the inlet opening into the air flow chamber. A primary filter is disposed in the air flow path between the inlet opening and the fan. A final filter is disposed in the air flow path between the primary filter and the fan.

Abstract: Wear components of a powder coating system are provided with a coded visual element in one aspect of the invention. The coded visual element can provide an indication of the manufacturer or a characteristic of the part. In molded parts, the coded visual element can be implemented as a different color overmolded part wherein a material of one color is overmolded on a base material of another color. The overmolded material can be elastomeric and formed with integral exterior rings to provide a friction fit for the wear component in, for example, a venturi pump or a spray gun while eliminating the need for separate O- rings and the need to machine or form grooves in the exterior of the parts to receive the O-rings. Similarly, integral flanges can be formed to eliminate the need for separate snap rings and grooves to accept the snap rings. Color coding of the overmolded material can also be implemented in a way to provide an indication of wear. Alternatively, the part can be constructed as a layered structure of two or more materials to provide an indication of wear with or without a visual coding element Another aspect of the invention is the idea of forming the replacement part as a single piece part such as a molded part. This type of part can be formed to incorporate integrally formed resilient rings and/or integrally formed flanges on the exterior of the part to take the place of O-rings and snap rings.

Abstract: Wear components of a powder coating system are provided with a coded visual element in one aspect of the invention. Abstract: 5472. Allsopp, R. O. March 13. Gas or explosive-vapour engines.-A complete cycle is composed of two or more Otto cycles, the exhaust being drawn back into the cylinder or into another cylinder with air and re-ignited. By this means the exhaust is rendered inodorous, and heavy oils can be used. A further object of the invention is to enable the power of engines, particularly those used on motor cars, to be controlled by varying the relative quantities of air and fuel admitted. A two-cylinder engine is shown diagrammatically in Fig. 1. A charge is drawn into, and does work in. the small cylinder C, and the exhaust is expelled into the large cylinder G, the pressure during the suction stroke in G being kept up to that of the atmosphere by air drawn in through the valve N. By supplying fuel in excess to the cylinder C, the power of the engine is increased because a more powerful impulse is produced in the larger cylinder. The engine shown has combustion chambers of variable capacity as described in Specifications No. 26,638, A.D.1896, No. 13,092, A.D. 1897, and No 18,343, A.D. 1898. In single-cylinder engines the exhaust is forced into a reservoir and drawn back again into the cylinder with air on the fifth stroke of the cycle. Three cylinders may be employed, in the first of which the hydrogen in the fuel is burnt, in the second the carbon is converted into carbonic oxide, and in the third the carbonic oxide is burnt and exhausted.

Fig. 3 is a cross-section showing the pump b, which has an air and fuel admission valve h of the kind described in Specification No. 23,600, A.D. 1905. A ported ring f is now provided to permit adjustment of the air supply, a pipe a, with or witbout a cock e, for draining away any liquid to a tank d, and a double wedge m is placed between the stem of the pump delivery valve and the valve-rod o, so that the lift of the valve may be adjusted. Two float chambers, for light and heavy oil, are provided, one or the other being put into action as desired by a three-way cock. According to the Provisional Specification, the air supply may be heated by contact with the exhaust pipe or motor cylinder.

Fine grooves are cut in one or both faces of the joint between the channel J and the valve seat. The portions A, B are drawn together by the screwed cap C. Air inlets are shown at F.
