Abstract: PURPOSE: To more economically attach a bolster to a door panel by placing a bolster laminate of which the inner surface shows selfadhesiveness at a time of heating on a vacuum mold for molding the door panel at a predetermined position and subjecting a heated vinyl sheet to vacuum forming to integrate the molded sheet with a substrate through a foam material layer to release a whole integrated object thus obtained. CONSTITUTION: A bolster laminate consists of a textile outer layer, a non-porous flexible layer and an inner surface showing self-adhesiveness at a time of heating. A door panel 10 has a bolster receiving part 16 between a window threshold upper part 12 and armrest part 14 thereof. A vacuum forming type mold lower part molds the outer surface of a panel 10 and the bolster laminate 50 is placed on the bolter receiving part and a heated vinyl sheet is placed on the molding surface containing the laminate 50 to be evacuated and, after a foamable material is supplied to the upper surface of the vinyl sheet, a mold upper part to which a preformed substrate 20 is attached is allowed to fall and the foamable material is foamed under heating to release the whole integrated object thus obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the reliability of a six-way manual seat adjuster by moving a front cam operation member from a locked position to a release position against eccentric force of an elastic connection member by a pin-slot connection means. SOLUTION: A rear torsion rod 206 and left side rear seat support arm 230 and a right side rear seat support arm 234 are in a condition in which they can rotate freely, and a torsion eccentric mechanism 238 makes the rear seat support arms 230, 234 eccentric upwards. Consequently, a rear part of a seat cushion is pushed up when an occupant floats his weight from the rear part of the seat cushion merely in this condition. Or, the rear part of the seat cushion can be pushed downwards and adjusted when the occupant applies his weight on the rear part of the seat cushion merely. Here, when an operation lever 352 is released, an elastic connection member makes front and rear cam operation members eccentric to respective locking positions again so that the seat is put to a completely locked position again.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To easily mount, remove, and move a seat by providing a wheel in a fixed support structure in an end part on the opposite side of the seat and putting front and rear hook members provided in such a way that the wheel comes to an operative position and an inoperative position in which a seat structure can move on a floor surface into wells on the floor surface and engaging them by fastening members. CONSTITUTION: Each track 16, 18 provided on a floor 14 is provided with a plurality of a front well 26 and a rear well 28, and each well 26, 28 has fastening pins 36, 37. Moreover, a front hook member 40 and a rear hook member 42 are provided in a pair of fixed support structures 50 provided in a seat device 12, and a pair of front wheel 46 and a rear wheel 47 are provided on them, respectively. When the hook members 40, 42 are at an inoperative position, the front and rear wheels 46, 47 come to an operative position below respective hook members 40, 42. When the seat device 12 is installed, it is pressed along the tracks 16, 18, and when the front wheel is engaged with a groove 44, the front and rear hook members 40, 42 come to an accurate latch position on the front and rear wells 26, 28.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller for a vehicle capable of adjustably connecting one end of a Bowden wire assembly to a movable actuator at a selectable position without using a tool. SOLUTION: This controller is provided with the Bowden wire assembly 12 extended between a base end side movable actuator 14 and a remote side movable actuator. The Bowden wire assembly 12 is provided with an exterior 17 and a wire 18 movable inside the exterior 17 and a rod 23 with a groove is installed to a wire base end 20. The rod 23 with the groove is provided with plural annular projections 24 and annular grooves 26 are formed among the annular projections 24. A clip 28 connects the rod 23 with the groove to the base end side movable actuator 14 at the selectable position. When the rod 23 with the groove is inserted to a holding groove formed between holding edge parts provided on the side part supporting columns 40 and 42 of the clip 28 and elastic cam surface members 56 and 58 provided on an end wall 52, the elastic cam surface members 56 and 58 hold the rod 23 with the groove by spring force.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a method for molding a vehicle door panel having a soft armrest, in which the softness of the armrest is improved more economically. CONSTITUTION: An outer layer 40 comprising a vinyl sheet 38 and a layer comprising a bonded relatively flexible foamed material are provided and the laminated sheet is heated so that the armrest portion 14 of the laminated sheet becomes the surface of the vinyl sheet engaged with the armrest portion on the surface of a mold. Next, a preformed pad 46 comprising a foamed elastomeric material is mounted on the opposed surface of the armrest portion of the heated laminated sheet. Thereafter, when all of mold parts are in a cooperative state, a foamable polyurethane material is heated to be cured to form a panel including a substrate 48 defining the opposite surface of the panel 10 and an upwardly facing armrest portion defined on its exterior surface by the vinyl sheet and backed up therebelow by the layer of the foamed material and the pad of the foamed elastomeric material.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To devise a seat free to move between an adult mode position and a child mode position by constituting and arranging the seat against a movable cushion assembly and a back cushion frame assembly so as to move between an unlocking position and a locking position placed against the rigid frame assembly. SOLUTION: A locking mechanism 42 is put at an unlocking position against a rigid frame assembly 12 at the time when a movable cushion assembly 34 is at an adult mode position. Additionally, it is put at a locking position against the rigid frame assembly 12 so as to prevent movement of a back cushion frame assembly 18 to a non-working position at the time when the movable cushion assembly 34 moves to a child mode position. That is, it is constituted and arranged against the movable cushion assembly 34 and the back cushion frame assembly 18 so as to freely move between this unlocking position and the locking position. Consequently, it is possible to make the back cushion frame assembly 18 freely move easily between the adult mode position and the child mode position.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To economically mold a car door panel by subjecting a panel upper part in the vacuum part of a door panel mold to vacuum molding to seal the peripheral edge part thereof at the non-vacuum part molding a lower flat part of the mold and supplying a reinforcing mat and a foamed urethane material to the whole molding surface to mold a back surface and releasing the molded one to bond a lug thereto. CONSTITUTION: A mold apparatus 22 comprises three components and a bolster laminate sheet 34 is placed on the part 30 molding the bolster receiving part of a panel of the vacuum mold component 24 of the mold apparatus and a laminate 38, which consists of a soft foam material and a vinyl sheet, covering the mold surface 26 including the sheet 34 is subjected to vacuum forming. Next, the peripheral edge engaging surface 52 of the second mold component molding the lower flat part of the panel is engaged with the peripheral edge part of the sheet 38 to seal the same. A reinforcing mat and a foamable urethane material are supplied to this mold surface 50 and the sheet 38 and heated by a mold component 68 molding a back surface and, after mold release, a lug part is bonded to the molded one.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the problem following the exhaust of the gas of a foamable material, by feeding a foamable material at a specific density at the amount per unit area, larger than the amount per unit area feeding to the periphery of the rear inner surface of a ceiling liner cover, to the center of the rear inner surface of the ceiling inner cover. SOLUTION: A foamable material is sprayed on the rear inner surface of a ceiling inner cover 50, in the form of a polyurethane foam spray 62 by spray heads 40, so as to form a polyurethane foam layer 64. This polyurethane foam layer 64 is not confined in a die, and it is foamed at a specific speed to make the foamable material at a specific density at the amount per unit area larger than the amount per unit area of the material to feed to the periphery of the rear inner surface, to the center of the rear inner surface of the ceiling liner cover 50. The foamable material thus foamed is hardened and adhered to a ceiling liner cloth member 60. Consequetly, a problem following the exhaust of the gas from the foamable material can be dissolved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a change in the shape of a cover material by applying the constitution that an expandable material is foamed and hardened in a cooperative die around a film on the inner surface of a panel part, concurrently with coupling the inner surface of the panel part to the inside of a vacuum die. SOLUTION: An upper die part 70 is closed and heat is applied to harden an expandable material. The material is thereby foamed and made to ascend for filling space formed out of the inner surface 20 of a front panel 16 faced above, the inner outer edge of an outer edge casting mold 62, and the surface of a lid die 70 directed downward. Also, the panel part 16 with a seam inside is automatically covered by attaching non-porous films. The films are important for changing the appearance of a final product, and sewn to each other to manufacture the front panel 16. According to this construction, the designed appearance of basic difference can be completed without any change of a tool, while no appendix or special operation being required.
