Abstract:
The invention concerns mixtures of (A) inorganic or organic reducing-action sulphur compounds and (B) organic corrosion inhibitors, the amount of component B in the mixture being 1 ppm to 1 % by wt. expressed in terms of the amount of component A. Such mixtures are suitable for use as corrosion-inhibiting reducing agents or as corrosion-inhibiting reductive bleaching agents, in particular in textile-decolourizer or stain-removal formulations, in the vat-dyeing of textiles, in the bleaching of fibrous materials for paper manufacture and in bleaching wool.
Abstract:
Sulphonated and oxidised indene are prepared by (a) polymerising indene or indene derivates having general formula (I), in which R stands for hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and n equals 1 or 2, or mixtures which contain besides the compounds having the formula (I) at least 10 % by weight of other copolymerisable and/or non polymerisable organic compounds; (b) sulphonating the polymer with a sulphonating agent at temperatures from 40 to 130 DEG C; and (c) oxidising the polymer without terminating its chains at temperatures from 80 to 180 DEG C. These indene polymers are suitable as dispergents, for example in dyestuff and pigment compositions.
Abstract:
Leuco vat dye preparations in granular form, containing as their essential components leuco vat dyes, alkaline metal hydroxide and a mixture of 10 to 100 wt.% of an alpha -hydroxy-C1-C4-alkyl sulphinic aid, one of its salts or derivatives and 0 to 90 wt.% of hydrosulphite as a reducing agent, and the production of these preparations and their use in dyeing cellulose-containing fabrics.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for the reductive post-cleaning of coloured or printed polyester-containing textiles and is characterized in that a mixture is added as a post-treatment agent to the acid dye liquor or the washing bath. Said mixture comprises as components: a) at least one compound of formula (I) Am[(CR R )mSO2M]p,q, in which A designates NR 3-q or OR 2-p, R , R , R designate hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, R designates identical or different groups selected from the group comprising hydrogen, C1-C20 alkyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, optionally substituted by between one and three C1-C4 alkyl groups, M is an equivalent of an ammonium, alkali or alkaline earth ion, m is 0 or 1, p is 1 or 2, q is 1, 2 or 3, at least one of the groups R , R , R being a C1-C6 alkyl when A stands for OR 2-p, and, when m equals 0: p, q assuming the value 2, and the compound of formula (I) is used in a mixture with an amount of acid-binding substance which is sufficient to increase the pH value of the dye liquor or washing bath by between 1 and 3 units; b) optionally at least one compound of formula (II) A[(CR R )SO3M]p,q, in which A, R , R , R , R , M, p and q have the same general meanings as in formula (I); and c) optionally further additives.
Abstract:
A process is disclosed for dyeing and printing textile materials made of cellulose fibers or of cellulose fibers mixed with other fibers, by immersion in an aqueous medium at pH values higher than 12, containing vattable dyes in the presence of cyclic compounds which contain at least once the structural unit (I) in the ring of the molecule as reducing agents, then by dyeing in the usual manner.
Abstract:
Use of tertiary amides I where R is a straight-chain or branched C5-C17-alkyl or -alkenyl radical, R is a straight-chain or branched C3-C6-alkyl radical, R to R are independently of one another hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, and n is from 3 to 15, as low foaming wetting agents in the textile industry.
