    Abstract: Sulphonated and oxidised indene are prepared by (a) polymerising indene or indene derivates having general formula (I), in which R stands for hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and n equals 1 or 2, or mixtures which contain besides the compounds having the formula (I) at least 10 % by weight of other copolymerisable and/or non polymerisable organic compounds; (b) sulphonating the polymer with a sulphonating agent at temperatures from 40 to 130 DEG C; and (c) oxidising the polymer without terminating its chains at temperatures from 80 to 180 DEG C. These indene polymers are suitable as dispergents, for example in dyestuff and pigment compositions.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a process for the reductive post-cleaning of coloured or printed polyester-containing textiles and is characterized in that a mixture is added as a post-treatment agent to the acid dye liquor or the washing bath.
