Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to feed a coating material in the direction of a cross machine by providing supporting beam extended in the direction of a cross machine, feeding a fluid into the supporting beam so as to maintain its temperature constant so as to suppress deformation of a supporting beam, caused by the heat in a coating apparatus and to prevent the bending deformation of the coating apparatus. SOLUTION: A supporting beam 52 is formed on a rigid rectangular formed- material, where the position of the supporting beam 52 is equal to or higher than that of a coating apparatus. The coating apparatus is separated from a packing roll when operation starts or a piece of paper is broken. An expansion air-pipe 50 is placed between the supporting beam 52 and the lower plate of the first fitting assembly 42 so that heat insulation can be realized between a coating head 28 and the supporting beam 52, and then a fluid for controlling temperature, preferably water, is fed by a pump, resulting in keeping the temperatures of the supporting beam 52 within a limited range and eliminating a temperature-gradient. Thus, a coating material is fed uniformly in the direction of a cross machine.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load-operating assembled unit for fastening a foil blade in which the foil blade is securely fixed so as not to rotate and not to change in shape and size while papermaking when the wire or the fabric supporting a mixture of paper stock moves on the foil blade. SOLUTION: This load-operating assembled unit 60 for fastening a foil blade has an air-loading actuator for securely attaching a foil blade 62 to a foil in a web-forming part of a papermaking machine. The foil blade 62 is fastened securely in position by the air pipe, and therefore don't rotate and don't change in shape and size while the operation of papermaking. This assembled unit 60 has also another air pipe as an air-loading actuator for unfastening the foil blade 62 from the foil in such a way that the blade 62 can slide in the cross direction of the papermaking machine.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the control system of a repulping device having a container for pulp, a container for an aqueous slurry and a rotary blade for mixing the pulp with water to produce the aqueous slurry, thereby making it possible to continuously produce the aqueous slurry having a uniform slurry concentration without being affected by variations on processes. SOLUTION: When pulp is introduced from a supply device 2 into a container 6, the introduction of the pulp into the container is detected with a supply sensor. A control device 8 computes a water volume and a water flow rate to be fed into the container to obtain a prescribed slurry concentration in response to a pulp introduction signal, and subsequently outputs a signal exhibiting the water volume. A volume control means 62 controls the supply of water into the container in response to the computed water volume signal. The control device 8 further outputs a signal exhibiting the computed water flow rate. A flow rate control means 64 supplies the water into the container at the computed flow rate in response to the computed water volume signal and the computed flow rare signal. The water level sensor 110 of a slurry reservoir 14 monitors a slurry level in the slurry reservoir 14.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tissue web supporting apparatus capable of reducing paper breaks and the amount of dust occurring in scraping a tissue web from the surface of a yankee dryer. SOLUTION: This web supporting foil is installed in the vicinity of a yankee dryer over a creping doctor 24 and the foil supports a web when it is separated from the dryer. An adjustable air deflector 46 which is tangentially arranged on the yankee dryer is attached to the top of the foil. Air moving along the web is screened by the air deflector 46. An opening part with small holes sucks air from a tip pocket 44 for collecting fibers broken in creping treatment. The web is retained at the bottom side of the foil by one or more air jets directed toward the bottom of the foil. The air jets function as a Coanda air jet and generates Bernoulli's effect for retaining the web on the bottom of the foil while preventing the adhesion of the web to the bottom of the foil.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a coating layer of a web by arranging a premeasuring treating lever having a specified dimensional diameter between a coating applicator and an air knife and allowing the web to contact with a lever surface over a specified angle range. SOLUTION: A coator system 9 is constituted by arranging the air knife 36 at a downstream of the coating applicator 12 and a premeasuring treating lever assembly 10 at an upstream of a supporting roll 38. The lever 26 extending to a cross machine direction is provided at the premeasuring treating lever assembly 10, and the diameter of the lever 26 is set within a range of about 1/4 to 3 inch. Then the web 16 passing through the coating applicator 12 is brought into contact with the lever 26 at an angle within the range of 3-40 deg.. This contact angle is regulated so that the coating material 24 has a desired and uniform thickness. The uniformly coated web 16 is subjected to a doctor treatment with the air knife 36. In this way, the coating thickness is reduced and the web speed passing the air knife is increased.

The grating 36 is supported in cantilever by a mounting part 46 supporting the grating 36 elastically on a spring and a ferromagnetic member 50 is mounted to the grating 36, which is vibrated by a solenoid 52. Then, a certain material 44 is fluidized with air moving upward and is discharged from the separating section 24 through the duct 36 Another particle material 44 is discharged from the separating section 24 through the bottom 34 of the duct to be collected on a conveyer.

The ratio of the depth 17 to the spacing 18 of the land parts is set in a range of about 1.00 and about 10.00, and the contact per cent of the recesses in contact with the web material is set in a range between 30% and 75%.

When machining the roll faces, the prescribed particles of some percentage are broken to become the roll faces porous, then adhesion of the web to roll faces is controlled.
