Abstract:
A method for drawing a biological sample using a suction-discharge device, such as a manual or automatic pipette, built into an automated device or not. A method for detecting the free surface of a biological sample and/or solid, a sample drawing device such as a pipette and a device for detecting the free surface of a biological sample or a solid are also disclosed. This method includes actuating a means causing a pressure variation or an air flow within the suction-discharge device, positioning the lower free end of the device in such a way so that it becomes flush with a free surface of the biological sample, measuring an overpressure within the suction-discharge device, and sampling a quantity of the sample by suction using the device. The invention finds a preferable application in the field of automatic analyzers.

Abstract:
Device for filling, with a liquid medium (1), an analysis card (2) comprising a body (3) in which at least one reading cavity (3a) is formed, and an orifice (4) communicating with the cavity via at least one internal channel (7), with an external conduit (9) communicating with the orifice, this device comprising an evacuation device (50). It comprises: a connecting device (11) including on one side a joining piece (12) for leaktight and removable coupling to the free end (9a) of the open external conduit, and communicating directly on the other side with the evacuation device (50); a device (34) for closing and re-opening the external conduit.
Abstract:
A device for transferring a liquid sample drawn by suction, through a wall having an orifice, the device including a conduit, a plunger sealingly sliding in the conduit, and a rod controlling the plunger. The device includes a joining piece extending the conduit, with an outer cross-section adapted to fit in the aperture, for example sealing it, with close working clearance required for inserting the joining piece in the orifice, the joining piece being arranged to be separated from the conduit once it is engaged in the orifice, and to seal the orifice, when or once the joining piece engaged in the orifice is separated from the conduit.
