Abstract:
The invention relates to a twisted nematic liquid crystal display device operating in the high multiplex mode and having a high contrast, the improvement wherein the liquid crystal mixture has a ratio of the elastic constants K3/K1 as small as possible but not more than 0.9 and a ratio of DELTA epsilon / epsilon | of at most +0.3.
Abstract:
Enciphered part of a program loaded on a storage device (15) is fetched to a one-chip microcomputer (10) and decoded by a decoding program stored in a ROM (12) which is inhibited from access from external buses. The decoded part is written in a cache memory (13), and cache inhibiting flag in a control register (14) corresponding to the storing area of the memory (13) for the decoded program is set to inhibit access from external buses. The decoded part is executed by a CPU (21) in combination with the non-enciphered part of the program stored in the program storing device (25). Therefore, the unauthorized copying of the enciphered program can be prevented.
Abstract:
A swing lever (55) swings around its base end stable roller (56) to move vertically its free end movable roller (57), so that the movable roller moves a conveyor belt (43) between a horizontal full color printing position and an inclined monochrome printing position. In the former position the belt contacts all of four colored image forming drums (41a,41b,41c,42), and in the latter the belt keeps in contact with the black colored drum (42) by the stable roller. Further, a press roller (54) mechanically and electrostatically attaches a sheet to be printed on the belt.
Abstract:
A print head (20) is placed upstanding on a chassis (25) through a protective member (26). A support shaft (28) to which a platen roller (21) is attached through a support member (27) is fixed at a lower end to a chassis (25). The support shaft (28) is fixed at an upper end to an upper attaching portion (25a) of the chassis (25). A space restricting member (31) is provided to the upper attaching portion (25a) so as to engage with an engaging lug (35) on the protective member (26) to restrict the upper ends of the print head (20) and the platen roller (21) at a predetermined space from each other. Thus, the upper ends of the print head (20) and the platen roller (21) are maintained at the predetermined space during printing to press the print head (20) and platen roller (21) against each other with a uniform pressure along their lengths. Thus, there is no difference in printing state between the upper and lower portions of the print head (20) and the platen roller (21) to achieve uniform printing and improve the print quality.
Abstract:
In a PHS terminal (4a), a system calling code for identifying a system in which the PHS terminal (4a) is registered and a slave ID number for discriminating the PHS terminal are stored in advance in an ID chip (28). While a user is out, he or she sets the ID chip (28) in another PHS terminal (4b) which does not have the same system calling code as that of the PHS terminal (4a). When the user performs an operation for peer-to-peer communication on the PHS terminal (4a), the PHS terminal (4b) is called using a controlling physical slot. The PHS terminal (4b) recognizes that it is called by discriminating a system calling code and a PS calling number of the physical slot on the basis of the system calling code of the ID chip (28), and then transmits a response signal to the PHS terminal (4a) based on the system calling code and PS calling number of the ID chip (28). Thus, peer-to-peer communication can be performed even between radio communication terminal (4)s which do not have the same system calling code.
Abstract:
A communication system is designed to exchange messages between a plurality of paging receivers (1A-1D, 1Z)) each having a transmission means. One (1Z) of the paging receivers transmits a question message and a plurality of answer contents to the question message to a paging receiver group constituted by the remaining paging receivers (1A-1D). When answer messages are returned from the paging receiver group which has received the question message and the answer contents, the paging receiver totalizes the answer messages, and displays them on a liquid crystal display panel, together with the question message.
Abstract:
An audio storing/reproducing apparatus comprises a semiconductor chip having a semiconductor memory having plural storage areas, a storage specifying input terminal to which a storage area specifying signal for specifying a storage area to be stored into or reproduced from the storage areas and a storage specifying signal for specifying the storing of audio data are inputted, a reproduce specifying input terminal to which a reproduce specifying signal for specifying the reproducing of audio data is inputted, and a storage medium controller for not only specifying a storage area to be stored into or reproduced from according to the storage area specifying signal and storing audio data into the specified storage area according to the storage specifying signal, but also reading the audio data stored in the specified storage area according to the reproduce specifying signal. A controller includes a control circuit for sending a storage area specifying signal to the storage specifying input terminal when the storage area specifying switch is operated, sending the storage area specifying signal to the storage specifying input terminal and thereafter sending the storage specifying signal when the record specifying switch is operated, and sending the reproduce specifying signal to the reproduce specifying input terminal when the reproduce specifying switch is operated.
Abstract:
An image processor which reads and outputs image data. Only by inputting a keyword which causes us to associate an image intuitively, the image processor produces and outputs an image based on a plurality of image data combined on the basis of the input keyword. To this end, and illustration part keyword table contains a plurality of keywords and a plurality of illustration part codes for each keyword. A part arrangement table contains a plurality of image pointer values and their arrangement information in correspondance to illustration part codes. A CPU searches the illustration part keyword table and part arrangement table for a match of the input keyword and reads a plurality of illustration image data corresponding to the keyword from an illustration part image file and arranges the respective illustration images in accordance with the corresponding arrangement information.
