PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrous oxide-based monopropellant with no instability.SOLUTION: This monopropellant including a mixture containing nitrous oxide (NO) as an oxidant at least a part of which is in a liquid form, and salt form fuel in the liquid NO phase. The liquid phase is constituted of: (i) fuel in the form of a solid salt when isolated at room temperature and solubilized in NO at least partly present in a liquid form; or (ii) molten salt of the fuel in a binary mixture with NO at least partly present in a liquid form; or (iii) an ionic solution of the fuel dissolved in an organic or ionic energetic solvent, in a binary mixture with NO at least present in a liquid form.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration method of alignment error of a sight mark for an on-board image system inside an observation satellite according to a first aspect.SOLUTION: A reference image of a certain scene is compared with a second image of the scene obtained by an image system. The reference image and the second image are configured of exposure photographs of the scene obtained by the image system, and an operation direction of an observation satellite during exposure for the second image is opposite to an operation direction of an observation satellite during exposure for the reference image.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large solid expandable structure which can be mounted to a satellite, and a method of expanding and locking the structure.SOLUTION: The expandable structure 12 includes a set of primary panels 121-123, a set of secondary panels 124-129, a primary joint system (here, each primary joint system can turn a primary panel around its primary shaft relatively for another primary panel, and the primary shaft is roughly parallel with the primary panel), and a secondary joint system (here, each secondary joint system is related to the secondary panel, and can turn the panel around its secondary shaft roughly parallel the panel relatively for another primary panel). The expandable structure is formed so that front faces of the primary and secondary panels form the whole surface which is roughly continuous, in an expanded state.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection of AIS messages by a satellite in order to generate a regional or world map of AIS transmitters.SOLUTION: The method for detecting AIS messages involves providing digital data representing signals received by a satellite on at least one AIS channel, and identifying (E18) a candidate message in the digital data by correlating the digital data with a hypothetical fragmentary message, the hypothetical fragmentary message includes at least one AIS message fragment which is dependent on transmission time and/or transmitter position and which is determined with the assistance of a database (26) of AIS transmitters.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for unfolding and restoring a flexible structure, a flexible and unfoldable structure comprising such a device, and a satellite.SOLUTION: The device unfolds and restores a flexible structure comprising: at least one of tape springs 31a, 31b, and 31c having an unfolding and restoring axis parallel to an axis X; and a rotor 33 rotatable around an axis Y vertical to the axis X. The tape springs 31a, 31b, and 31c may autonomously shift from a wound state on the rotor 33 to a released state. The tape springs 31a, 31b, and 31c are equipped in a state being folded into U-shape and comprising: a first terminal end 16 tightly fixed on a first locking point 36 which may be fixed on a stator 32 or the rotor 33; and a second terminal end 17 wound on the rotor 33.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna reflector which can be reconfigured during operation.SOLUTION: An antenna reflector (10) reconfigurable during operation includes a rigid support (11), and a deformable film (12) having wireless electrical reflection characteristics. The reflector includes a plurality of coupling means (13), each including a first finger ball joint coupling part (14) connected with the rigid support (11), and a second finger ball joint coupling part (15) connected with the film (12), and connecting the rigid support (11) and the film (12). Each coupling means (13) further includes a linear actuator (16) including a rotary motor (20) and a screw (21)-nut (22) assembly connected with two finger ball joint coupling parts (14, 15) and can originate translational movement for allowing deformation of the film (12) in the operational configuration.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for an electronic system subjected to transient error constraints, to detect the aspect of transient errors, and to correct them. SOLUTION: In the processing procedure of the electronic system subjected to the transient error constraints, two virtual channels existing in a single physical channel are multiplexed, in time at a predetermined real time cycle (data created from each execution of the virtual channels is stored so as to allow voting before use). If an error is detected, the real-time cycle under processing is inhibited, and a context having no abnormality is reloaded so as to perform restart including virtual execution of the next cycle, when the reloaded context starts. This relates to an interferometer including a light generator, a fibre-optic coil, an optical coupler/splitter, a photodetector and an electronic signal-processing system. The light generator includes a laser source able to emit a source beam split into two secondary beams passing through the coil with a travel time τ defining a natural frequency f p = 1 2 τ . According to the invention, the laser source is a monofrequency laser source and the light generator includes modulation means designed to modulate the source beam at a modulation frequency equal to 2 f p 2 n + 1 where n is an integer greater than or equal to 1, and the photodetector and the electronic signal-processing system are configured to acquire and process a signal representative of the interference beam at a demodulation frequency equal to f p 2 n + 1 .
