Abstract: The present invention relates to gas sensors able to measure gas based on the absorption bands of radiation characteristic to the gas of interest, where the sensor comprises a gas measurement region. The present invention introduces the gas sensors configured and designed such, that a plural of gas sensors may be connected to form a self contained modular unit such forming a sensor construction able to measure e.g. a number of different gasses or just make a more precise measurement of one particular gas.

The present invention introduces a cooling device connected to the sensor for ensuring a lowered temperature in the vicinity of the delicate parts.
