Abstract:
An improved carbonation method, apparatus, and system includes a carbonation chamber, a temperature sensor, a pressure regulator, and a controller that determines a temperature of water entering the carbonation chamber and, when the temperature is above and outside of a predetermined temperature range, send a temperature adjustment to signal to a cooler to cool the water and, when the temperature is in the predetermined temperature range, determine whether a pressure of carbon dioxide gas entering the chamber should be adjusted corresponding to the specific temperature in the predetermined temperature range.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are described that produce an ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage from a high gravity alcoholic beverage stream using an efficient, low waste, combination reverse osmosis and forward osmosis system. Utilizing a reverse osmosis system prior to using a forward osmosis system in removing water content from a high gravity alcoholic beverage stream significantly reduces a draw solution load when compared to a process that utilizes a forward osmosis system alone or prior to using any other dewatering system.
Abstract:
A pallet system (100) for supporting a load (54) of packages is disclosed. The pallet system (100) is comprised of a plurality of pallet units (102). Each pallet (102) unit may have a load support portion (104), a plurality of side portions (106, 108, 110, 112) attached thereto, and a flange portion (114) attached to the side portions. The load support portion is adapted to be placed directly adjacent to the bottom surface of the load. The side portions have openings (124, 126, 128, 130) sufficiently sized to receive forks of a forklift. The flange portion is flexible and extends continuously around the periphery of the pallet unit. A method for supporting a load of packages utilizing a plurality of pallet units is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a system (400) and method for producing a load of packages (450) supported by a disposable/recyclable pallet (100). The system may comprise at least one palletizing station for producing a plurality of unwrapped palletized tiers of packages, a horizontal wrapping station for producing at least one horizontally wrapped palletized tier of packages (430), a stacking station (432) for stacking the unwrapped palletized tiers of packages on the horizontally wrapped palletized tier of packages, and a base applicator (460) for fixedly applying a base to a bottom surface of the horizontally wrapped palletized tier of packages.
