The network apparatus for selectively displaying multiple network information items, includes a network transceiver transmitting and receiving data through a network and providing information relating to the activation status of the network and information relating to the amount of data being transmitted and received, an output unit selectively outputting one of the information relating to the activation status of the network and the information relating to the amount of data being transmitted and received, and a signal controller respectively controlling the activation state of the network and information output to the output unit according to a user's first input and second input.

The device includes a communication unit receiving multimedia content through a wireless communication device corresponding to a selection instruction message input by a user among one or more wireless communication devices; a reception sensitivity check unit checking the reception sensitivity of the received multimedia content; and an interface unit outputting the received multimedia content according to the reception sensitivity.

A portable computer having: a main body; and a monitor in which a planar inverted F antenna (PIFA) is installed. The planar inverted F antenna has: a ground plane; a first radiator connected to the ground plane, spaced from the ground plane; and a second radiator connected to the first radiator, spaced from the first radiator, and with an end connected to an antenna cable. Thus, with only one planar inverted F antenna (PIFA), a multi-band function is performed, and frequency characteristics of a portable computer are improved, since to connect the antenna cable to an end of a planar inverted F antenna enables a frequency band to be broadened, compared with a conventional connection. Also, improvement of an installation structure of the planar inverted F antenna enables assembly and maintenance to be simplified, and manufacturing and repair costs to be reduced.

A portable computer having a main board; an antenna receiving and transmitting an RF signal; a PCI slot part provided in the main board and receiving the RF signal received and transmitted through the antenna; a wireless LAN card including a main card removably inserted into the PCI slot part, and an RF connector provided at a side of the main card and through which the RF signal is inputted/outputted between the antenna and the PCI slot part; and an antenna connecting part connected to the RF connector and allowing the RF signal to be inputted/outputted through the RF connector between the antenna and the PCI slot part when the wireless LAN card is inserted into the PCI slot part. With this configuration, the present invention provides a portable computer improved in a mounting structure of a wireless LAN card doing not have an antenna.

A wireless network system including a station, a plurality of access points to which the station is accessible, an access speed detector provided to each access point to detect access speed of a station registered to the access point, and a network controller provided to the station, to receive information in relation to the access speed from the access point and to control the station to be registered to the access point that provides optimum access speed based on the received information in relation to the access speed. Accordingly, the present invention provides a wireless network system and a method of registering a station in which the station is registered to an access point that provides optimum access speed and/or optimum signal intensity among a plurality of accessible access points, to thereby improve network efficiency.

A system, apparatus and method to control the output of a radio frequency signal in a wireless local area network (LAN) system having an infrastructure. The system includes an access point which periodically transmits a frame including output control information used to control the output of the radio frequency signal, and a wireless terminal apparatus including a wireless transceiver module which receives the frame and a control module which extracts the output control information from the received frame, and controls the output of the radio frequency signal by the wireless transceiver module according to the extracted output control information.
