Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake assembly having an improved packaging exhibiting sufficient performance so that a system can be easily adapted for a multiple-vehicle platform. SOLUTION: The parking brake assembly 10 comprises a brake lever 12, and a rotary clutch 8 and a lock-release mechanism 16 cooperating with each other to selectively lock/release the parking brake. The clutch allows actuation of the brake lever in one direction, and prevents movement of the brake lever in the opposite direction. The lock-release mechanism allows selective movement of the rotary clutch and the brake lever together in the opposite direction. The rotary clutch may be disposed generally coaxially with a pivotal movement axis of the brake lever. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor including a simpler and further inexpensive rotary sensor. SOLUTION: An example of the rotary sensor has the rotary sensor operated so as to output a sinusoidal signal, equivalent to a rotational position of a motor armature, in response to the potential at a single point or at a plurality of points on a commutator. Another example of the motor and the rotary sensor has the motor and the rotary sensor operated so as to impart a plurality of pulses per one rotation of the armature. The device mounted to the motor can be further adjusted minutely. The motor and the rotary sensor can be formed into a simpler and further inexpensive constitution for which there is almost no need of using components in which mechanical failures occur. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake release mechanism eliminating requirement of a complex rod connection device and enhancing performance of shaking of noise and offensive to an ear. SOLUTION: The parking brake release mechanism is provided with a brake handle having a longitudinal axis. Regarding a release cable, at least a part is arranged on the brake handle and the release cable is installed such that a push button type actuator approaches from a distal end of the handle and can operate the release cable. The push button type actuator is preferably constituted such that it locks or unlocks a brake constitution member by being linearly moved relative to the longitudinal axis of the handle. The release cable is flexible and is urged between two positions to form a push/pull cable actuator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved door module which is easily assembled in a door and decreases a time and complexity of assembly work. SOLUTION: The door module includes a door inner panel 20 including at least one fastening part. A carrier plate 25 includes at least one fastener attached thereon prior to attachment to the door inner panel 20. The fastener couples with at least the one fastening part of the door inner panel 20 for operatively connecting the door inner panel 20 and the carrier plate 25. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control pedal in which the position of a pedal can be selectively adjusted. SOLUTION: A brake pedal includes a brake lower pedal connected to a guide so as to be pivotally driven, a first pedal formed at the lower end of the brake lower pedal arm so as to be adjustable when the guide is moved and a brake link by which the brake lower pedal arm is connected to a control operation link so as to be pivotally driven. An acceleration pedal includes an accelerator upper pedal arm connected to the guide so as to be pivotally driven, an accelerator link by which the accelerator upper pedal arm is connected to the supporting member so as to be pivotally driven, an accelerator lower pedal arm connected to the accelerator upper pedal arm so as to be pivotally driven and a second pedal formed at the lower end of the second lower pedal arm so as to be adjustable when the guide is moved. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lock assembly capable of being locked at a transmission position in a wide range based on a response to various control parameters. SOLUTION: The shift lock assembly includes a shifter base; and a shift lever having a pivot member related to the shifter base. A movement stop member having an upper portion including an engagement part is connected to the pivot member. A lock lever having opposed side surfaces; a first end pivotally movably mounted to the shifter base; and a second end contacted with an engagement portion of the movement stop member is also included. At least one solenoid is connected to the lock lever in order to pivotally move the lock lever relative to the movement stop member and at least one solenoid moves the lock lever between a low position, a middle position and a high position in response to the control parameter. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ratchet type parking brake having quiet operation for a motor vehicle. SOLUTION: A parking brake mechanism includes a mounting bracket, an actuator arm pivotably secured to the mounting bracket and movable between a brake-released position and a brake-applied position, and a lock operable to releasably secure the actuator arm in the brake-applied position and including a pawl engagable with a ratchet. The pawl includes a metal insert at least partially encapsulated in plastic to form a plurality of resilient contact surfaces to dampen vibrations and reduce noise upon contact. The resilient contact surfaces are preferably in the form of integral leaf springs. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet hinge assembly for a reclining vehicle by which some of or all of problems inherent in conventional known devices can be reduced or eliminated. SOLUTION: The sheet hinge assembly for the reclining vehicle has a first housing, a second housing having a plurality of teeth, a main cam member having a main cam surface and a sub cam surface, a main spring, and a sub cam, the sub cam has at least a spring arm and a plurality of windows, and the respective windows has at least a cam fringe portion. Each of a pair of pawls is driven to an engaging position by the main cam surface and the cam fringe portion of the main cam and driven to an unengaging position by the cam fringe portion of the sub cam. Each of a pair of sub pawls is driven to an engaging position by the sub cam surface of the main cam and driven to an unengaging position by the cam fringe portion of the sub cam. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric actuator for automatic transmissions in which problems have been solved. SOLUTION: An electric actuator 14 for automatic transmissions includes an adaptor 52 for transmitting the rotation movement between the adaptor 52 and a transmission 12. A electric motor 48 has an output shaft operably connected to the adaptor by a set of gears including a ring gear 68. A release mechanism 56 includes a solenoid 72 which selectively actuates a locking member 74. In a first position, the locking member is configured to lock the ring gear so that the adaptor is rotated by the rotation movement of the output shaft and rotates up to a predetermined region near a desired gear position. In a second position, the locking member is configured to allow for the rotation in a non-engaged state with the ring gear so that the adaptor is rotated by the inner force of the transmission and automatically self-aligns to a desired accurate gear position. Abstract:
A park brake assembly includes a base. A park brake lever is pivotal about the base. A pawl is pivotal about a pawl pivot. The pawl is linked to the brake lever. A sector is attached to the base and the pawl releasably locks and unlocks relative to the sector. The pawl includes a pivot slot that receives the pawl pivot and wherein the pawl translates about the pawl pivot changing an angle of engagement of the pawl relative to the sector when subjected to a force.
