Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator having a set of slidable pistons including a slidably moving area. SOLUTION: In this actuator, the slidably moving area comprises at least one wear member supported by an elastic member and a second wear member positioned apart a distance laterally from the first wear member. A lubrication sump is disposed between the first and second wear members, the wear members are maintained in the smooth sliding engagement state thereof with the cylindrical wall of a housing, and the necessity of the replacement and repair of the actuator is limited. To provide the access of fluid from a chamber in the actuator, groove passages are extended along the rear sides of the extension parts of the pistons to enable the rapid discharge of the fluid from the chamber. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrator provided with an on-demand start-up system for suppressing an atmospheric contamination. SOLUTION: One embodiment is provided with an integral non-foiling start-up system in which at least a bearing surface has a surface adhesive lubricant agent to form the on-demand static start-up system. In another embodiment, the on-demand start-up system is a dynamic system which can make the differential power of a piston therein disproportionate in order that the vibrator may start surely the vibration "by answering immediately". Accordingly, two type start-up systems are utilizable: one is the on-demand static start-up system, and the other is the on-demand dynamic start-up system. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved flow valve or a booster valve including a sealing member providing two operation conditions of a flow condition and a non-flow condition. SOLUTION: The flow valve 10 is provided with the sealing member including a first condition engaging with a housing to prevent reverse flow and a platform 35 including support parts 35a, 35b, 35c, 35d partially cutting off a flow passage in the flow valve 10. A conveying system for conveying a conveyable material from a hopper where the system includes a fluid port located below the hopper outlet and in a vertical flow path into hopper outlet that can be momentarily opened for an on the go release of a charge of compressed air directly upward into the hopper outlet and into the underside of the bridge in the hopper to either disintegrate or unlock the bridged particles from each other thereby causing the bridged material to fall into the hopper outlet and into the conveying system where the material can be transported to a remote location or to remove any material that may be adhering to the wall during an emptying phase.
Abstract:
A mixing apparatus and method wherein the mixing apparatus includes a hopper having a port piston for periodically retracting to open a fluid port to allow a slug of gas to be quickly injected into the bottom of a hopper, which produces a mixing and blending of the materials in the hopper as the slug of gas flows upward through the materials in the hopper. The port piston periodically closes to seal the fluid port without allowing the material in the hopper to backflow, which would prevent between the port piston and a hopper sealing member from being brought into sealing engagement.

An actuator having a set of slidable pistons including sliding regions with the sliding regions including at least one wear member supported by a resilient member and a second wear member laterally spaced from the first wear member with a lubrication reservoir located therebetween for maintaining the wear members in lubricated sliding engagement with the cylindrical walls of the housing to limit the need to replace or repair the actuator. In order to provide ingress and egress of fluid from the chambers within the actuator a channel passage extends along the back side of the extension of the piston to permit quick venting of fluid therefrom.

A lightweight butterfly valve having a disk maintained in a fixed position on a compound shaft through an interlocking relation ship between each of the individual shafts of the compound shaft and the disk as the disk is moveable between an open or closed position with the butterfly valve may having other features such as an electric drive to quickly rotate the compound shaft to provide for rapid opening and closing the butterfly valve, a disk position indicator and a shaft stop to prevent the disk from being driven past a full open condition.

A rotor diverter valve operable for diverting materials in a pneumatic conveying line to secondary locations with the rotor diverter valve including a housing and pivotally mounted rotor having a pair of converging passages therein that can direct material from an inlet in the housing to one of a plurality of outlets on the housing through proper position of the rotor within the housing. The housing includes interchangeable inlet and outlet attachments that can be tightly sealed around the converging passages in the rotor.

Air blender for mixing granular materials has a pressurized air manifold located at the bottom of the material container, the manifold being in communication with the container via openings having a valve actuated by an air operated piston. The device has a constant air pressure preventing granular matl. entering the manifold chamber. Dead space around the bottom discharge opening is eliminated.
