Abstract:
The invention relates to recombinant DNA molecules containing a DNA sequence coding a protein with the biological activity of a 2-deoxyglucose-6-phosphate (2-DOG-6-P) phosphatase and controlled by regulatory sequences of a promoter and transcription, termination and/or polyadenylation signals active in plants. The invention further relates to vectors and host cells containing inventive recombinant DNA molecules. Also disclosed are methods for producing transformed plants cells and plants using the inventive recombinant DNA molecules and vectors. The invention also relates to transgenic plants, their crops and propagation materials and to plants cells and tissues containing inventive recombinant DNA molecules or produced according to the inventive method.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the production of methionine in an organism such as a microorgansm, a non-human animal or plant. The invention furthermore relates to nucleic acid molecules, polypeptides, nucleic acid constructs, vectors, antisense molecules, antibodies, host cells, plant tissue, propagtion material, harvested material, plants, microorganisms as well as agricultural compositions and to their use.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a new type of expression cassettes which, under genetic control, contain regulating nucleic acid sequences a) nucleic acid sequence coding for 4-hydrophenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) or for one of its functional equivalents; and/or b) at least one nucleic acid sequence (anti-HGD), which can inhibit the homogentisate-dioxygenase (HGD) activity. The invention also relates to vectors which are suitable for the production of plants having an increased tocopherol content, to transgenic plants produced therewith, and to a method for the production of transgenic plants having an increased tocopherol content.
Abstract:
Promoters are disclosed which cause the permanent, leaf-specific expression of a coding nucleotide sequence controlled by said promoters, for example a sequence which confers a specific resistance or increases the photosynthesis capacity.

Abstract:
A method for preparing a nonhuman organism with faster growth and/or increased yield in comparison with a reference organism, which method comprises increasing the activity of L450 in said organism or in one or parts thereof in comparison with a reference organism.
Abstract:
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of controlling sprout formation in plants and parts thereof including vegetative storage organs. The method involves the use of target and organ specific promoters to control expression of DNA sequences to inhibit sprouting. Sprouting is restored by switching on expression of DNA sequences using inducible promoter regions where sprouting may be controlled by, for example, application of an external chemical stimulus.
Abstract:
