Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method of producing enzyme- specific inhibitors or substrate binding partners comprising: identifying active site residues of the substrate in the enzyme substrate complex or in substrate binding partner-substrate complex; randomizing the active site residues to produce a combinatorial library of substrate variants; and selecting substrate variants that inhibit enzyme activity or bind substrate as substrate-specific binding partners. The present disclosure also provides ubiquitin enzyme specific inhibitors and ubiquitin variants that bind ubiquitin interaction motifs.
Abstract:
A method for managing object view data in an object database comprises detecting a view of an object in an image and comparing view data of the detected view to object view data of object views of objects in an object database on the basis of a comparison criterion. The method further comprises storing the view data of the detected view together with time information in the object database as new object view data when the comparison shows that the detected view does not correspond to any object view in the object database, or changing time information of existing object view data of an object view in the object database when the comparison shows that the detected view corresponds to the object view. The method further comprises managing the object view data in the object database on the basis of the time information of the object view data.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Disclosed are preparations containing at least one retinoid, at least one water-soluble antioxidant, and at least one oil-soluble antioxidant. The invention is characterized by the fact that the preparations contain at least 1 part by weight of one or several water-soluble antioxidants and 0.1 to 100 parts by weight of one or several oil-soluble antioxidants per part by weight of retinoid, the content of one or several water-soluble antioxidants ranging between 0.05 and 0.8 percent by weight relative to the total quantity of the preparations.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing oily suspensions of water-soluble vitamins. The inventive method is characterized by a) grinding at least one water-soluble vitamin in an oil to an average particle size of from 0.1 to 100 mu m, or b) grinding at least one water-soluble vitamin to an average particle size of from 0.1 to 100 mu m without using a continuous phase, and then suspending the ground particles in an oil.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a dispensing assembly (100, 100', 100", 200, 300, 500, 600, 700, 900) comprising a cartridge holder (102). The cartridge holder is operable for receiving a cartridge (108, 108', 108") operable for dispensing a fluid (206). The cartridge comprises a reservoir (114, 804, 908) operable for receiving the fluid. The reservoir comprises an outlet (115, 806). The reservoir has an adjustable volume for forcing the fluid through the outlet. The cartridge further comprises a nozzle (116, 912) for dispensing the fluid. The nozzle is connected to the outlet. The dispensing assembly further comprises an actuator (104) for actuating the adjustable volume. The dispensing assembly further comprises an impulse generator (106) for imparting an impulse to the nozzle. The impulse generator comprises an actor (118) for contacting the nozzle. The dispenser assembly further comprises a controller (202, 420) for controlling the actor and the impulse generator.
Abstract:
Apparatus for determining model parameters, the apparatus comprising an object model transformer, a region comparator, and a model parameter determiner. The object model transformer is configured to receive an object model of a known object and to transform the object model based on a set of model parameters from a first frame of reference to a second frame of reference. The object model transformer is further configured to determine as result of this transformation a transformed object model comprising at least one region, the at least one region being associated to an object region of the object. The region comparator is configured to receive the transformed object model and an image depicting the object, to determine for a selected region of the transformed object model a region-related similarity measure representative of a similarity between the selected region and an image section of the image associated to the selected region via a transformation-dependent mapping. The model parameter determiner is configured to determine an updated set of model parameters on the basis of the region-related similarity measure and an optimization scheme.
