Abstract:
A pant-type absorbent article comprising a first body panel (16) having a body facing side (12) and a garment facing side (13) and a second body panel (17) having a body facing side and a garment facing side, the body facing sides of first and second body panels are held together in a face-to-face relationship along lateral edges to form side connections (19). The article further comprises a first fastening member (20) hingedly attached to or near a lateral edge of the body facing side of the first body panel (16) and having a portion (25) which is unattached to said first body panel, said portion (25) is refastenably attached to a complementary second fastening member (21) provided on the body facing side of the second body panel (17). A recess (27) forming a finger grip may be provided in the lateral edge of the first body panel (16).
Abstract:
A pant type absorbent article comprising a front region (2), a back region (3) and a crotch region (4) between the front region and back region, the front and back regions being joined to each other along two opposite side edges (2a, 3a) of said article so as to form side joint regions (10). The article further comprises at least one fastening means (12) joined to at least one of the front and back regions for allowing the article to be secured in a configuration that provides a convenient disposal after has been used and/or a reclosure of the article if opened during use. The fastening means (12) is disposed in said side joint region (10) and is hidden between the joined side edges of the back and front regions during normal use of the article, and is exposed upon the tearing open at least a part of the side joint region.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an absorbent article such as a diaper, a pant diaper, a sanitary napkin or incontinence guard. The absorbent article comprises an absorbent core (12) disposed between an inner coversheet (14) and an outer coversheet (16). The article further comprises at least one disposal fastening means (18), said disposal fastening means (18) having a fastening element (20) adapted to fasten to at least a portion of the outer coversheet (16) which allows the article to be secured in a configuration that provides a convenient disposal after said article has been used.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of packaging a paper product comprising at least one compression loaded, core-wound roll of paper and a compression constraining means for constraining such roll, said compressive loading being applied to said roll to effect a deformation of said core of each roll into a substantially square cross-section, and said constraining means comprises means for constraining each such deformed core and wound paper roll. The invention further relates to a method of packaging an array of such rolls, as well as an article packaged in accordance with the invention.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing reclosable absorbent garments, in particular absorbent pants, and to the absorbent garments obtainable by said method. Starting from a continuous web (1) of absorbent articles attached side-by-side and with a line of weakening (6) arranged between adjacent articles, a first strip (8) comprising releasably attachable material is applied across the line (6) at one edge (25) of the web. A second strip of flexible material is also applied across the line (6) at the other edge (26) of the web. The web is then folded longitudinally to form a series of closed, joined adjacent articles. The adjacent articles are then partially separated at said line (6) but without rupturing said strips (8, 13), so as to provide a free zone (15) between said strips (8, 13) and the adjacent separated edges of each article. The strips (8, 13) are then joined together across the free zone (15) to form a plurality of joined garments. The strips (8, 13) may then be severed so as to form individual garments (27) of the reclosable type, or may remain unsevered and be foreseen with a line of weakening for later separation. Due to the particular method and product features of the invention, an in-line process for making closed, reclosable absorbent garments is achieved.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an absorbent article (1) such as a pair of absorbent pants, a nappy, an incontinence protection article or the like having a substantially elongated shape and presenting a frontal waist region (2), a rear waist region (3) and a crutch region (4) positioned therebetween having two leg edge-portions (5, 6). The article comprises an inner fluid-permeable layer (7), a fluid-barrier layer (8) and an absorbent core (9) enclosed therebetween. The article also comprises elastic elements (10) which are arranged along four different paths (11, 12, 13, 14). One segment of each path follows at least a portion of a leg edge-portion (5, 6) and the paths together enclose a collection region (15) positioned between the article's leg edge-portions (5, 6), which region (15), under the influence of the elastic elements (10), bulges and forms a fluid-collecting basin.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a disposable cover for use in an incubator for premature infants comprising a moisture-pervious surface layer and a preferably moisture- impervious back sheet, wherein the total weight of the cover before use is communicated to the caregiver by indication on said cover, a label accompanying said cover or on the package for said cover. The cover may further be provided with a wetness indicator.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns an absorbent article (10) comprising an absorbent core (12) disposed between an inner coversheet (14 and an outer coversheet (16). The article further comprises at least one disposal fastening means (18 which is directly or indirectly joined to the outer coversheet (16). The disposal fastening means (18) comprises a fastening element (20) which allows the article to be secured in a configuration that provides a convenient disposal after said article has been used. The disposal fastening means (18) is covered by a material layer (22) having a surface area such that it extends beyond the disposal fastening means (18). The material layer (22) is attached to or forms an integral part of the outer coversheet (16) so as to keep the disposal fastening means (18) hidden when not in use. The material layer (22) is releasable from the outer coversheet (16) so as to expose the disposal fastening means (18) for use.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an absorbent article (101) comprising at least one c area (143). In accordance with the invention, the article (101) comprises a means (131) for checking the elongation of the elastic area (143), in conjunction with which the means (131) comprises a first indicator marker (133) connected to the elastic area (143) and a second indicator marker (134) connected to a second piece of material (135), in conjunction with which the first indicator marker (133) and the second indicator mark r (134) are capable of displacement relative to one another in the direction o elongation of the elastic area (143), whereby the change in the relative position between the first and the second indicator marker 133,134) in conjunction with the elongation of the elastic area (143) from a non-elongated position provides a measure of the elongation of the elastic area.
