Abstract: 12,721. Hutchinson, P., Forrester, A. D., Hutchinson, T. J., and Forrester, T. H. M. B. May 30. Vaporizers, external.-The fuel is admitted to the chamber A through a passage in the valve seating a the quantity being independently controlled by a hand-operated valve. The fuel is vaporized by the exhaust gases and afterwards cooled in the chamber G, so that the less volatile constituents fall back and may be removed by the passage H. The nipples J', J assist in this action and cause the gases to roll along the inner surface of the chamber. Additional air is afterwards admitted through the valve K. At starting, the chamber A may be heated by a blow-lamp or the engine may be run on alight fuel. The air-admission openings may be protected by gauze.
