Abstract: The pref. composite fibrous body may be used as part of a vehicle. It may be hollow or may be filled with a medium such as plastics foam. The body is pre-curved in a lengthwise direction and follows a pre-set deformation path under the combined or single effect of forces, momentum, pressure and temp. USE/ADVANTAGE - The composite fibrous body is compact, lightweight and economical to produce, esp. for mechanisms in vehicles such as wheel guide elements or in controls, and combines in one component kinematic control, as spring and steering element dependent on temp. and pressure.
