    Abstract: PURPOSE: To take out medicine in small amount necessary at each time by furnishing a cradle capable of moving in the vertical direction within a housing and an exhaust nozzle installed on the housing in alignment with an exhaust stem. CONSTITUTION: A housing 10 to form chambers 12 and 14 is fitted with a cradle 24 in such a way as movable in the vertical direction within the chamber 12. A nozzle 38 provided with hole 40 is installed in a certain position on the housing 10 at a level lower than the cradle 24. Aerosol is exhausted from a module by sinking the cradle 24 relatively to the nozzle 38 and moving a stem 32 within the module. Thereby a certain quantity of material contained in the module is discharged bit by bit from the nozzle element 38 and is directed into a mouthpiece 48. After the material in the specified quantity is discharged, the stem 32 is returned to the initial position and sealed till the next service occasion.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a remote control medicine medicating capsule safe and reliable on use by equipping a sleeve valve on a periphery wall of a capsule main body to form one or more holes on the periphery wall and connecting a heating resistance of the sleeve valve to an actuator member made of a thermally actuated shape memory alloy. Shape memory alloy fingers 16I, 16J act to be straight by heat of resistance heaters 16E, 16F to apply force to a retaining wire 20 to rotate the sleeve member 14 in the capsule main body and match the hole 14A with the hole 12A to open the capsule.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a ranitidine hydrochloride tablet increased in the stability of the tablet and prevented the indistinction of carved parts, etc., on the surface of the tablet by coating the tablet with a thin polymer coating film comprising hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose and triacetin. CONSTITUTION: A ranitidine hydrochloride tablet useful as a histamine H2 receptor antagonist (duodenal ulcer medicine) is coated with a polymer thin coating film comprising (A) hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, (B) triacetin and preferably further (C) a coloring agent or opacifier. The components B and C are used in amounts of 5-25wt.%, preferably 10-15wt.%, and 5-65wt.%, respectively, based on the dried weight of the component A. 100 pts.wt. of the tablets are coated with 2.1-5.0 pts.wt., preferably 3.0-4.0 pts.wt., of the polymer. The stability of the tablet can thereby be improved, and the indistinction of specific carved parts, engraved shapes, etc., in or on the surface of the tablet can simultaneously be prevented.
