    Abstract: A foil system intended for use in an electrophoretic imaging system, the foil system being provided with a transparent foil layer, the foil layer being provided with multiple channels of the first type which extend through a part of a thickness of the foil layer from the first surface in the direction of the second surface, the foil layer being further provided with multiple channels of the second type which extend over a part of a thickness of the foil layer from the second surface in the direction of the first surface, the channels of the first type and the second type being distributed in the foil layer, such that, viewed in the axial direction of the channels, a distance is present between a part of a channel wall of each channel of the first type and a part of a channel wall of each channel wall of each channel of the second type.
