The invention relates to a liquid distributor for vacuum distillation, comprising an admission (1) and means for supplying the liquid to distributor channels (5) which comprise openings for feeding the liquid to be distributed to a column packing (7). The inventive liquid distributor is characterised in that the supply means comprise a pipe manifold (4) which is provided with pipes and horizontally arranged in a plane, said pipe manifold comprising openings (3) for supplying liquid to the distributor channels (5).

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von α-Tocopherol aus einem nicht-α-Tocopherole enthaltenden Rohmaterial, bei dem man die im Rohmaterial enthaltenen Tocopherole in Tocopherylborate umwandelt, das so behandelte Rohmaterial erhitzt, um niedriger als die Tocopherylborate siedende Bestandteile des Rohmaterials abzudestillieren, den Rückstand einer Methylierung unterzieht, um die nicht-α-Tocopherylreste in α-Tocopherylreste umzuwandeln, und die Tocopherylborate einer Solvolyse zu α-Tocopherol unterzieht, und die borhaltigen Solvolyseprodukte entfernt.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Flüssigkeitsverteiler für die Vakuumdestillation mit einem Zulauf (1) und Mitteln zum Zuführen der Flüssigkeit zu Verteilerrinnen (5), die Öffnungen zur Aufgabe der zu verteilenden Flüssigkeit auf eine Kolonnenpackung (7) aufweisen. Der erfindungsgemässe Flüssigkeitsverteiler ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zuführmittel einen horizontal in einer Ebene angeordneten Rohrverteiler (4) mit Rohren umfassen, die Öffnungen (3) zur Abgabe von Flüssigkeit an die Verteilerrinnen (5) aufweisen.
