Abstract:
An apparatus for measuring data of a living body by contacting a probe to the living body or by inserting it in the living body. The apparatus comprises a living body data detecting circuit for electrically detecting data of a living body and a living body data processing circuit for digitally processing the detected data of the living body. The signals are exchanged between the living body data detecting circuit and the living body data processing circuit under an electrically insulated condition. Preferably, there are provided a first power source circuit which supplies electric power to the living body data detecting circuit only and a second power source circuit, which supplies electric power to the first power source circuit, and the electric power is supplied from the second power source circuit to the first power source circuit under the electrically insulated condition. Preferably, furthermore, the electric bias quantity applied to the detector element in the probe is compared with the bias quantity that is fed back through the detector element, in order to detect the presence of any leakage current in the living body. More preferably, an electric quantity of an element for correcting electric charateristics of the detector element in the probe is read prior to measuring the data of a living body, in order to make sure the presence of probe connection and the type thereof.
Abstract:
The operator inputs information on the shape of a fabric to be knitted and that on design indicative of the stitch structure by using a keyboard input device (110) and coordinates input device (120). An engineering work station (140) forms an image of the fabric showing the state of a completed knit surface on the basis of such pieces of information as described above and shows said image on a color display (130) as well as converts said pieces of information into sequence data representing the order of processes of knitting the fabric (by knitting machine) and also into control data showing control operation of the knitting machine.
Abstract:
An apparatus for measuring cardiac output based upon a dilution method. This apparatus comprises a switch for setting parameters such as the outer diameter of a catheter; a probe for detecting the temperature of a liquid indicator to be injected into a blood vessel according to a dilution method; a switch for manually inputting the temperature of the liquid indicator; a circuit for checking whether the probe is attached; a circuit for selectively switching the manually input liquid temperature data and the detected liquid temperature data; a catheter having an opening for admitting the liquid indicator, a first thermistor for measuring the blood temperature diluted with the liquid indicator, and a second thermistor for detecting a thermal equilibrium temperature reached when cooled by the blood; a circuit for detecting a change in the blood temperature detected with the first thermistor and initiating area integration of a dilution curve according to the theory of a dilution method; a circuit for continuously calculating the cardiac output from the thermal equilibrium temperature detected with the second thermistor; and a recording device for recording the continuously obtained cardiac output with time.
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] A light guide and a line illuminator incorporating it in which the deterioration of a read out image can be suppressed even when the document surface is floating by spreading the intensity distribution of light in the longitudinal direction at a position (document position) of an article being illuminated. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] In a light guide (10) arranged such that a light entering from the end face exits from an exit face provided along the longitudinal direction while reflecting off the inner surface, a side face shape orthogonal to the longitudinal direction has a curved surface (1) of first elliptic arc, a curved surface (2) of second elliptic arc, a first exit face (3), a second exit face (4), and a light scattering part (5) formed at an elliptic focal position (or in the vicinity thereof) on the major axis plane of each ellipse. Condensing position of a light reflected off the first curved surface is different from the condensing position of a light reflected off the second curved surface.
Abstract:
A one-chip signal processor receives heart beat signals of a foetus and maternal labour pain intensity signals. A data processor statistically processes the correlation between the labour pain intensity signals and the heart rate, a printing unit being for recording the processed correlation on paper. An alarm unit produces an output in three stages, i.e. normal, caution and alarm based upon the heart beat signals. The labour pain intensity signals are transmitted to a remote monitoring apparatus.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a readily handleable fly line storage device. SOLUTION: A shallow base 6 for fixing a main body 5 of a fly line storage device for winding a fly line 2 on the circumference of a barrel-shaped winding drum 5a supported on a pair of bearings 5f stood on a rectangular stand 5e is installed. The base 6 is equipped with a reel fixing arm 7 for removably fitting a reel 1 so that the reel fixing arm can be moved in the horizontal direction based on the winding drum 5a, raised and laid and fixed at a desired position at a desired angle of rotation by a fixing mechanism 7m. The fly line 2 is wound on a desired position in the longer direction of the winding drum 5a and stain can be removed by cloth provided with a conditioner.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaching an end nipple to a metallic wire rope by which a step for attaching the end nipple to the end part of the metallic wire rope is simplified, a material is reduced, and the cost reduction is made possible. SOLUTION: The end part of the metallic wire rope cut into a required length is inserted into a hole part 13 at the center of the nipple 12, and the resultant nipple 12 is riveted from both sides to integrate the nipple 12 with the end part of the metallic wire rope 11.
