Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnesium-based composite member (1A) that is provided with a through hole (20A) into which a fastening member (100) is inserted, said fastening member (100) is used for the purpose of affixing the composite member (1A) to an object. A substrate (10) is provided with a substrate hole (21) into which the fastening member (100) is inserted, and is formed of a composite material wherein a matrix metal, which is magnesium or a magnesium alloy, and SiC are combined. A receiving part (22) is fitted to the substrate (10), and formed of a metal material that is different from the matrix metal. The receiving part (22) is provided with a receiving part hole (22h) into which the fastening member (100) is inserted, and at least a part of the inner circumferential surface of the through hole (20A) is configured of the inner circumferential surface of the receiving part hole (22h).
