    Abstract: A carbon nanotube-based micron scale chemical sensor or sensor array is provided that enables the remote detection of hydrogen sulfide and other chemicals in a gas stream. The sensor is suitable for use in harsh environments of high temperature and pressure such as those encountered during petrochemical exploration and recovery. Multiplex sensor devices detect two or more chemical agents simultaneously, or they can detect conditions such as pressure, salinity, humidity, pH, or scale-forming ions. Incorporation of read out electronics and an RF signal generator into the sensor device enables it to communicate to a relay station or receiver for 3D mapping or other analysis. Methods are also provided for fabricating the chemical sensor device and using the device for detection.

    Abstract: A method for preparing extract, concentrate and distillate by using sea tangle or brown seaweed powder is provided to take the extract, concentrate and distillate mixed to food and drink or use the extract, concentrate and distillate as a food and drink additive by processing the sea tangle or brown seaweed coated with its specific flavor into granules or powder and then making the extract, concentrate and distillate. A method for preparing extract, concentrate and distillate by using sea tangle or brown seaweed powder coated with the specific flavor of sea tangle or brown seaweed comprises: (i) a first process of washing sea tangle or brown seaweed; detoxifying, sterilizing and neutralizing the washed sea tangle or brown seaweed by soaking it in water containing acetic acid, citric acid and salt, wherein each of the acetic acid, citric acid and salt is added to the water by 0.2~0.5wt%, 0.2~0.5wt% and 0.1~0.4wt%, based on the total weight of the water; spraying liquor on the sterilized sea tangle or brown seaweed and then drying it for a water content to be less than 5%; firstly crushing the dried sea tangle or brown seaweed; putting the crushed sea tangle or brown seaweed into a parching machine, spraying liquor with an alcohol content of 14~20% on the sea tangle or brown seaweed, wherein the amount of the sprayed liquor is 0.3~0.5wt%, based on the total weight of the sea tangle or brown seaweed, rotating the machine at a velocity of 40~50rpm at an inner temperature of 70~100°C, sealing up the machine when the specific flavor of the sea tangle or brown seaweed gets vaporized, setting the inner temperature to 120~200°C, and rotating the machine at a velocity of 200~250rpm to coat the sea tangle or brown seaweed with its specific flavor; and processing the sea tangle or brown seaweed coated with its specific flavor into granules or fine powder; and (ii) a second process of adding 10~15% of the sea tangle or brown seaweed powder obtained from the process (i), 1.5~2.5% of liquor, 0.5~1.0% of salt, 0.5~1.0% of acetic acid and 0.5~1.0% of citric acid to water at 35~45°C, based on the total weight of the water, to obtain an extract from the sea tangle or brown seaweed powder; and concentrating and distilling the extract at low temperature under vacuum condition.
