Abstract: A method and system for conducting electronic online auctions having partial quantity evaluated rank bidding is disclosed. Submitted bids are ordered on a basis of a comparative bid parameter used by an originator of an auction (106). The quantity required by the originator of the auction (106) is then allocated to the offered quantities of the submitted bids based upon a ranked ordering of the bids.
