PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection method of a series coil permanent magnet motor, and to provide a supporting system therefor.SOLUTION: A failure detection method of a series coil motor includes steps S101, 103 for driving a series coil motor based on a predetermined current command value, a step S105 for detecting the phase current vector of a motor, a step S107 calculating a current compensation value for removing the reverse phase (negative sequence) component of the motor based on the phase current vector, a step S109 for providing the current compensation value to a reverse phase current control machine, a step S111 for calculating the failure phase and the degree of failure of the series coil motor by using a failure model to which the output from the reverse phase current control machine, and the induction flux variation of a specific slot of a specific phase of the series coil motor failed and other slot of the same phase as the specific phase are applied, and an application step for applying a current command value to which the failure phase and the degree of failure thus calculated are applied.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a large quantity of semiconductor nano wire elements eliminating a complicated nano wire positioning step and an SOI wafer at a low cost, with no necessity of forming an extremely fine pattern using electronic beams, and by forming a single crystal silicon nano wire by an easy method, transferring the nano wire separated from a substrate onto an other oxide film or a silicon substrate formed with an insulating film. SOLUTION: A manufacturing step of a nano wire element includes the steps of: forming a first thermal oxidation film on a single crystal silicon substrate (100) and forming the first thermal oxidation film into a pattern for securing a support structure region to support the nano wire region and the nano wire; dry-etching the silicon substrate; wet-etching the silicon substrate by anisotropical etching solution; forming a second thermal oxidation film on the silicon substrate; and removing all of the thermal oxidation films. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-voltage type optical modulator, having a symmetric structure in which the polarization of any one of branched waveguides formed on a substrate is inverted, and the two branched waveguides are simultaneously controlled by a center electrode formed on a top portion thereof, thereby ensuring a low-voltage drive and embodying the characteristics of there being no signal distortions due to chirping. SOLUTION: The modulator comprises: a substrate; an optical waveguide composed of an input portion, a pair of first and second portions branch portions branched off from the input portion, and an output portion where the first and second branch portions are coupled, all of which are formed inwardly on the top surface of the substrate; a polarization inversion region, polarized and inverted by a region of the substrate on the basis of between the first and second branch portions; first to third recessed grooves formed, by etching the portions of the substrate adjacent to sides of the first and second branch portions of the optical waveguide; a buffer layer formed on the top surface of the substrate; a center electrode, formed on a top surface of the buffer layer over the first and second branch portions of the optical waveguide, located on and in between the first and third grooves; and first and second side electrodes, independently of the center electrode and formed on the top surface of the buffer layer adjacent to the first and third grooves, respectively. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic field based low frequency band radio communication for supporting a packet format, coding and modulation systems suitable between a master and a slave so as to carry out radio communication with a data rate or coding system variable according to peripheral environments in the magnetic field based low frequency band radio communication applied to adverse environments.SOLUTION: In a method of configuring a physical layer in magnetic field based low frequency band radio communication, a data rate and a coding system of a payload field contained in a request frame and a response frame between a master and a frame is made variable in accordance with a peripheral communication environment within a predetermined range. In such a configuration, the request frame and the response frame may be comprised of the same format but such request frame and response frame may include a preamble field, a header field and a payload field, respectively.
