Abstract:
The present invention relates to a modular tile system comprising various tile elements, which can be assembled to form flexible partitions, wall coverings or spherical shapes, the extent, appearance and characteristics of which can be changed according to specific requirements by choosing appropriate tile elements and method of assembling said elements. The invention furthermore relates to means and methods for assembly. The invention furthermore relates to the use of said tile system and method for attaining given, desired design effects, functional effects and for providing the possibility to apply acoustic control of a room or local areas within a room, for instance around a work place. Specifically the present invention relates to a modular tile element (1 ) comprising a central main body (3) comprising side parts, the central main body (3) being provided with protrusions (4) extending in an outward direction from said body (3) along some or all of said side parts for releasable engagement with another modular tile element (1 ), where said protrusions (4) are separated from said central main body (3) by embossments (7) along said side parts of the central main body (3), whereby the protrusions (4) become substantially rectilinearly pivotable along said embossment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sun shield (1) for controlling the light transmission from the outside to the inside of a building or the like, where the sun shield (1) comprises a plurality of light transmission channels or cells (2) thereby forming a three-dimensional structure with an external surface (26) and an internal surface (27), the inner surface (27) facing the inside of said building or the like, said channels or cells (2) being defined by one or more inner surface(s) (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and by a longitudinal axis (X), said axis (X) extending at an angle (α) relative to horizontal. According to a specific embodiment of the sun shield according to the invention, the light transmission channels or cells (2) are of a hexagonal cross-section and one or more of said inner surfaces (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) of the light transmission channels or cells (2), or portions of one or more of these surfaces, are provided with light reflective means (9, 18, 24). According to a specific embodiment, the light reflective means are in the form of a plurality of circular islands (9) provided on the three lower inner surfaces (6, 7, 8) of the individual cells (2).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a basic module, which can for instance be of a substantially rectangular shape and where there at opposite ends of the module outwardly extending (4,5,15,16) protrusions for releasable engagement with co-operating openings (9) in adjacent modules are provided. It is thereby possible by using the modules according to the invention to form for instance a partition and by proper choice of modules (for instance relating to colour, choice of material and other characteristics) to form partitions or the like having desirable design and application related characteristics (for instance acoustical characteristics).
Abstract:
This invention relates to an artificial leather (10), a process for producing an artificial leather, an article such as clothing comprising the artificial leather, and use of the artificial leather in the manufacturing of articles. In particular, the artificial leather (10) comprises a non-woven matt formed from bast fibres, more particularly fibres obtained from hemp plants. The fibres in the non-woven matt are impregnated with a polymer, such as a polyester or polyurethane (PU). The artificial leather (10) includes the non-woven matt as a discrete bottom layer (12). The thickness of the bottom layer (12) is greater than the thickness of any of the first intermediate layer (14) or the top layer (16). The thickness of the top layer (16) is preferably higher than that of the intermediate layer (14).
Abstract:
The mounting device (1) includes a longitudinal frame (3) for mounting by a longitudinal mounting bracket (4). The longitudinal mounting bracket has an at least substantially L-formed cross-section (5) including a first and second flange (6, 7). The longitudinal frame has a ridge (12) or groove adapted to engage with a ridge or groove (13, 14) at free ends (8, 9) of the respective flanges. The longitudinal mounting bracket is thereby adapted to be mounted on the longitudinal frame in a first position with the first flange mounted on a horizontal mounting surface (15) or in a second position with the first flange mounted on a vertical mounting surface (16). The longitudinal frame has a snap- lock connector part (17) locking releasably with one of corresponding snap-lock connector parts (18, 19) arranged on the first and second flanges between the free ends and fixed ends (10, 11) of the respective flanges.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an artificial leather having a laminated structure and a process for producing such product. The artificial leather comprises a non-woven matt formed from bast fibres, more particularly fibres obtained from hemp plants. The fibres in the non-woven matt are impregnated with a polymer, such as a polyester or polyurethane. The artificial leather includes the non-woven matt as a discrete bottom layer in a laminated structure also comprising a discrete intermediate layer of a binder material and a discrete top layer of a polymer coating material.
