    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding type opening/closing device for a portable terminal, to reduce the overall thickness of the portable terminal and further smoothing the sliding motion of the portable terminal, while extending the life of the terminal.
    SOLUTION: A slide base is fixed to a main body, and a sliding plate is fixed and joined to a slide body and slidably joined to the slide base. A zigzag spring is arranged between the slide base and the sliding plate, and has one end and the other end rotatably supported on the slide base and on the sliding plate, respectively. While the slide base and the sliding plate are moved in a sliding manner on one line in opposite directions, the zigzag spring is compressed and decompressed. The zigzag spring includes a first zigzag part and a second zigzag part different in elasticity from the first zigzag part.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a folder type electronic device. The electronic device includes: a main body; a link member hinge-jointed to the main body at one end thereof; a sub body hinge-jointed to an opposite end of the link member, the sub body including an LCD window; a first rotation hinge for rotating or stopping the link member; and a second rotation hinge mounted between the link member and the sub body. The second rotation hinge rotates the sub body in an opposite direction to a rotation direction of the link member. The second rotation hinge includes a torsion spring and a damper section. The electronic device is semi-automatically opened by the first rotation hinge. The LCD window is always exposed outwardly by the first and second rotation hinges. The damper section provides a slow and smooth rotation instead of an abrupt rotation.
