Abstract:
PURPOSE: A tail yarn cutting device for a knitting machine is provided to accurately cut tail yarn of knitted materials and to largely improve productivity. CONSTITUTION: A tail yarn cutting device for a circular knitting machine comprises a guide unit(110) and a cutting unit(120). The guide unit guides a knitted fabric and comprises a guide tube(111) and guide cone(112). The guide tube guides the knitted fabric to the cutting unit. The guide cone is placed at the lower portion of the guide tube. The cutting unit cuts tail yarn of the knitted fabric guided by the guide unit.
Abstract:
There is provided a method of tracking an object in a three-dimensional (3-D) space by using particle filter-based acoustic sensors. Instead of directly extending a particle filtering algorithm for bearings-only tracking to a 3-D space, a 3-D particle filter is decomposed into various and simple two-dimensional (2-D) particle filters. Decomposition into the 2-D particle filters and selection thereof are based on characteristics of acoustic sensors in a noise environment. There is provided extension into multiple particle filter association, whose strength and performance may be proved using Cramer-Rao Lower Bound. There is provided a merit of executing accurate 3-D object tracking while reducing complexity of computation.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a composite of zeolite-fiber substrate, which comprises the steps of: (a) reacting a fiber substrate or a zeolite with a linking compound to form an intermediate of (linking compound-fiber substrate) or (zeolite-linking compound); and (b) preparing the composite of (zeolite-linking compound- fiber substrate) by (i) linking the intermediate of (linking compound-fiber substrate) to the fiber substrate or (ii) linking the intermediate of (zeolite-linking compound) to the zeolite, wherein said linking is induced by sonication.
Abstract:
A swizzle pattern generator is provided to reduce an overhead due to execution of a swizzle instruction in vector processing. The swizzle pattern generator is configured to provide swizzle patterns with respect to data sets of at least one vector register or vector processing unit. The swizzle pattern generator may be reconfigurable to generate various swizzle patterns for different vector operations.
Abstract:
There is provided an effective algorithm for localizing an object using multiple visual images that are obtained from the widely used digital imaging devices. We propose parallel projection model supporting both zooming and panning of the imaging devices. Our proposed method defines a virtual viewable plane for creating a relationship between an object position and a reference coordinate. The reference point necessary in the proposed algorithm can be a rough estimate which may be obtained from the pre-estimation process. The algorithm minimizes localization error through the iterative approach with relatively low computational complexity. Non-linearity distortion of the digital image devices may be compensated during the iterative approach.
Abstract:
Single-crystal silicon carbide nanowires and a method for producing the nanowires are provided. The single-crystal silicon carbide nanowires have a very high aspect ratio and can be used for the fabrication of nanoelectronic devices, including electron gun emitters and MEMS probe tips, for use in a variety of displays and analyzers. Further provided is a filter comprising the nanowires. The filter is applied to systems for filtering vehicle engine exhaust gases to achieve improved filtering performance and increased lifetime.
